"This place was amazing! We only spent 1 night there, it wasn't even a whole night as we attended a concert at a nearby venue, but, in was beautiful. The service was amazing. After the concert we went back to the lodge I was hungry, so I asked themanager(? )If any where close was open she said no, but she could make me a salad, even though their restaurant was also closedI said thanks, but don't go out of your way. 15 minutes later she appeared with a beautiful salad. That was amazing. We willdefinitely go back when we have more time"

"Best food, best server and best view! Must visit in Rangeley! Server gave us good suggestions and we ordered bowl of clam chowder in cold weather it was perfect! It was not too thick and buttery, loved the consistency and generous amount of clam pieces. Then we got fish tacos and beet salad, both were amazing! Tacos were nice and spicy, salad had great amount of sweetness and acidity and very fresh! We ended with coffee and homemade ginger bread cake with whip cream and it was to die for! I asked for hot water and she got me kettle and lemons. We enjoyed all our meal with frozen lake view! "My wife and I stayed here for the first time 9/29 10/1 to celebrate our anniversary. We loved it! The woman at the front desk Friday Saturday night was so nice. The historic building was very cool and we enjoyed our renovated room. The location was perfect for walking downtown to see the lake and get drinks/dinner. We also had dinner at the Tavern delicious! Great hikes in the area and we loved driving around on all the scenic roads. Hoping to come back this winter to ski at Saddleback! Thank you! Hotel highlights: Great view, Romantic, Quiet"
