"I tried the Sunset Roll along with an order of Gyoza. The Gyoza was hot and crispy, but overall the dumplings were quite average and lacked flavor. On the other hand, the Sunset Roll was impressive! It featured a smooth, buttery piece of salmon resting on top of a rice-covered salmon tempura, complemented by spicy mayo, eel sauce, avocado, and seaweed. Each bite was packed with flavor! The total came to about $25, and I don't think it offers great value for the price. I've experienced better quality sushi for less in other places. However, considering the location and the limited sushi options, this may be one of your best choices aside from Kobe."

Food was just alright. I ordered carry out. Asked the lady if there was soy sauce and chop sticks in the bag and she said yes, but there wasn’t. I think there’s better value for the money at other restaurants.

I visited the restaurant once and found the food to be bland, reminiscent of hospital food. However, everything else was nice. I had the beef and rice entrée. Overall, I would rate the food a 2, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 5.

The food is always great. The atmosphere is good for what you're expecting. Normally, service is great, but I guess we got a trainee, so I hope that doesn't continue. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

This is the first restaurant where I've tried sushi in Sumter. The service was decent, though not exceptional; it felt like a combination of self-service at the counter and table service, which made it unclear what responsibilities fell to the customer. The food was fresh, but having come from a place that offered better sushi for the same price, I had higher expectations for what I would receive. View menu

This is a fantastic restaurant! Everything was excellent, from the service to the food and the ambiance. I dined in for dinner, and the price was very reasonable at around $10–20 per person. I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all as a 5 out of 5. I highly recommend the sushi dishes, and it's a great place for vegetarians as they have a dedicated vegetarian menu. There is ample parking available, with plenty of free spots in the lot.

My husband and I have decided to make this our go-to sushi restaurant. The sushi is consistently delicious, and there are a wide variety of options to choose from. The prices are reasonable, and there are some good deals available as well. While the service can be a bit slow at times, the staff is always polite. We usually visit in the evenings when the restaurant isn’t too crowded. Parking is quite convenient, as there is plenty available in the shopping plaza.

"I go to Baker's Sweets a lot.But today's experience was awful. July 5th 2024, lunch. Never ever have I been so disappointed with how our party of seven were served Where the food came out horrible. My grandchildren 3yrs and 5 yrs were served spicey fries. My fried green tomato BLT had 3 nice size green tomatoes but 1 piece of bacon and 1/2 slice of lettuce. My son was served cold hard shrimp and grits plate that he had to cutt with a knife to eat the grits. My daughter in law was waiting for her fried chicken salad plate and didn't get it until the waitress came with check and realized she forgot it then came back and said they didn't even drop the chicken in yet. My daughter got a chicken sandwich with lettuce tomato and Swiss. It came out plain. My son inlaw ordered his burger/patty melt med rare it came out Xtra well. Among other things. I stood at the front counter ordered my coffee as I arrived, waited as she made it and placed it on the back counter where it sat for 5 min. I had to tell them at the register that it was sitting there. Many other customers were complaining too while we were waiting for our food but I thought nothing of it until I found out when we were served. We should have walked out but no. We got the check after complaining and were only compted the 18 gratuity they charge for larger parties. What# ! Larger party? 5 adults and 2 small kids. Our bills were still full price. Excuse, the normal cooks were off and everyone else partied the night before. Sorry Baker's Sweets. You have lost 7 customers today from us and I'm sure others. If you don't have the proper kitchen staff you should not have been open!"
