"This place is amazing! Traveling with tired, hungry children aged 3 and 5, I am a picky eater and germaphobe. Glen Junction was perfect. It was clean, polite, and not serving canned food. There were plenty of options to choose from and our bill for four people came to $32. The toy train circling the restaurant kept the kids entertained for a few minutes before digging into our meals. The staff was friendly, efficient, and always keeping the restaurant clean. I felt comfortable using the restroom. The location is great, near Storyland and only 15-20 minutes from the Mt. Washington Hotel. If you enjoy Polly's Pancakes on the other side of the mountain, this place is a strong competitor. In short, we would definitely dine here again."

I have been coming to this restaurant since I was a child, and now I bring my daughter on our summer trips to the North Conway area. It is conveniently located near Story Land and the food is always excellent. The pancakes are the best I have ever had and the sandwiches are delicious. They also have a playground for children to enjoy while waiting for their food. My daughter's face lights up when the toy train goes around the deck while we eat.

"I recently dined at Thompson House Eatery and unfortunately had an incredibly disappointing experience. While the setting and the friendliness of the hostess were positives, the overall encounter left much to be desired. The waitress insisted on ordering appetizers, emphasizing the farm-to-table concept. We opted for the highest-priced appetizers she recommended, only to find the portions underwhelming. The shared salad was unsatisfactory, and the suggestion of bread service that was made to sound complimentary added to the frustration. The main dishes, Bolognese and carbonara, were a major letdown. My carbonara was inundated with an excessive amount of black pepper, rendering it inedible. Despite expressing my dissatisfaction, the response was far from accommodating. A suggestion to drown out the pepper with Parmesan cheese was offered. To add insult to injury, the bill included unexpected charges for the bread and cheese that were initially suggested as complimentary. The mandatory 20% gratuity seemed excessive, especially given the lackluster service. The final blow was a 7% property and infrastructure fee, leaving me baffled and frustrated. Upon requesting to speak to the manager, I was met with a dismissive attitude, claiming all sales were final. The experience felt like a scam, and I regret falling for what seemed like a highly-rated establishment. After revisiting reviews, it became apparent that the restaurant's decline coincided with new ownership. I urge others to check recent reviews and reconsider dining here. It's disheartening to witness a once-solid establishment spiral under new management. Avoid Thompson House Eatery at all costs, as my experience suggests it may not live up to its previous reputation."
