"I stopped by tonight looking for a quick meal, as I didn't feel like cooking. I started with a hot and sour soup, but it was so unpalatable that I had to send it back. My main dish, General Tso's chicken, was decent, but after my meal was served, no one checked in on me to see how things were or if I needed anything. I ended up waiting for 15 minutes after finishing my meal before anyone finally came by with the check. When I asked for a container for my leftovers and mentioned that I had a restaurant.com coupon, the server left the check but I then had to wait another 10 minutes for someone to process the coupon. When the next staff member came back, it took another 10 minutes for her to return. It's evident that the staff does not prioritize customer service. Additionally, I noticed that the restaurant only holds a B rating from the health department. It’s disheartening to see how far this place has fallen. Once a favorite venue for family dinners, it now seems to cater mostly to bar patrons. I regrettably won’t be returning."

Avoid this place; they failed their health inspection, which is reason enough to stay away. I should have suspected something was wrong when I felt ill after my last meal here. I won't be returning.

The best steamed pork dumplings around New Haven. Also, one of the few takeout places that will make Peking duck! Otherwise, very reliable Chinese takeout. Friendly, fast takeout service. The inside looks nice too! View menu

Just got takeout here for lunch today. Worst dumplings I have ever had (I ordered the vegetable steamed dumplings. Good dumplings have a thin wrapper; these were VERY thick and pasty, with very little of a bland filling. My Moo Shu Pork and my friends' orders were just OK, but not as bad as the dumplings.

This used to be the old China Lantern, and it has definitely become our go-to spot for takeout. They have the quickest delivery in the area—though I admit it helps that we live just up the hill! My boyfriend and I joke that they must be in the car on their way to us as soon as he hangs up the phone to place our order, which is pretty hilarious! They offer these unique lettuce wraps that you don't typically see on a Chinese takeout menu, and they are absolutely delicious. My boyfriend especially loves their chicken and broccoli. Keep up the fantastic work!

As someone mentioned earlier, this place serves below-average Americanized Chinese food. I ordered shumai, and it was some of the worst I've ever tasted; it felt like it was filled with canned dog food. The chicken wings were sparse on meat. The waitress was rather indifferent and dragged her feet throughout the restaurant, which I found incredibly frustrating. The General Tso's chicken had no spiciness at all, and the shrimp with mixed veggies was completely devoid of flavor. Well it got a C from the health department, so that wasn't super exciting going in. I didn't get food poisoning afterwards so that's a plus. There are regulars that come back to dine here, which says something I guess. The food wasn't great. It was average americanized Chinese food with a cardboard fortune cookie at the end. Don't get me wrong, I love my americanized Chinese food, but I've had better. The men's bathroom was humid, smelly and dirty. It made me wonder if maybe that's where the health department dinged them. It made me glad I couldn't see the kitchen, even though I kind of wanted to.

Golden Chopstick is my go-to spot for Chinese food delivery. They are consistently quick and very friendly, and their prices are quite reasonable, often at or below the average for Chinese takeout. One of my favorite menu items is the steamed BBQ pork buns—simply delicious. Their soups always arrive hot, and the wonton egg drop soup is generously filled with wontons.
