"Finally, this is a place with home-style slow cooking. Real New Orleans food with no shortcuts. The bibb lettuce salad with buttermilk dressing was light and refreshing; the shrimp and grits was rich, flavorful, true comfort food; biscuit and butter were fantastic. The real standout, however was the chicken and sausage gumbo. It was smoky and complex with a just-right kick of spice. Taking our friends and family next time!"

This place was great! A small low key gem and the food was fantastic. The service was even better.

Food was amazing. We had most of the appetizers and were to full to get the main course. Need to come back again.

A hidden gem in Pasadena! I've eaten at many places around the city and nothing surprised me like this place did. Get the tasting menu and enjoy the ride View menu

Everything, from the food to the service, was excellent. However, one disappointing aspect was the beignets. If a Creole/Cajun restaurant serves beignets, they should be warm and inviting.

What an amazing dining experience. The food was incredible, I highly recommend the shrimp and grits and that’s coming from a life-long grits hater. They converted me and I can’t wait to go back and try more items from the menu.

Rye, our server, was incredibly friendly and attentive. He took the time to explain the dishes he recommended, and we ended up ordering all of them. Every single one was delicious! Since it was my birthday, Rye really made the occasion special for me. View menu

The Pork steak on Grits was seriously unexpected and a joy to eat. The taste was distinctly pork, but the texture was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, very similar to what you would expect from a nice steak. I'd definitely get that again.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. There is plenty of parking available, and the service was friendly. The food was excellent—I definitely wasn't disappointed with the shrimp and risotto. The prices were reasonable, and I would love to return to try the tasting menu!
