"This restaurant is conveniently located near the 99 entrance ramps in a building that might easily be mistaken for a home. It’s a busy spot, with most customers being Thai and conversing with the staff in their native language, which I interpret as a strong indication of authentic cuisine. The atmosphere is simple and no-frills, featuring low ceilings, 1980s wood paneling, and linoleum-topped tables that seat four. The cook even came out from the kitchen to check on my soup, which was perfectly spicy. If you prefer milder food, be sure to specify that in advance. The menu is straightforward, with clear descriptions of the ingredients, making it easy for me to find exactly what I was in the mood for."

I'm surprised this place isn't more widely known. The food is excellent and offers a unique twist compared to typical Thai cuisine. It's definitely worth a visit if you're a fan of Thai food!

The food was okay, I went to dine in with some friends awhile ago. The lady at the register didn't accept my 8$ tip when the bill came out to 40$. She kept insisting I tip her more like $8 is more than the 15% of the bill. That was my last time going there. ?

We live in Monterey and often pass through Merced on the way to the Sierras. We have traveled to Thailand and MUST SAY the food in this place is the most authentic we have had in the states. I've been coming to this restaurant for over 20 years, and it has always been one of the best places for pho. However, I was very disappointed during my most recent visit. I ordered two combination pho to go, and the broth was underwhelming. It was overwhelmingly salty—like drinking saltwater. I ended up pouring out the broth and making my own at home to enjoy with the noodles.

PLANT BASED OPINION: VERY CLEAN restaurant. Easy pastking. I came for veggie PHO but its not available. End up getting beef broth with veggies ad veggie spring rolls. Tasty but not many options. The broccoli was delicious. A little upset that the Pho didn't come with Basil or mint after I specifically asked but maybe it was a miscommunication.
