"I visited the restaurant on Saturday afternoon at 1 PM, and I was promptly seated with my reservation by friendly waitstaff. They kindly served us hot green tea, which was a lovely touch. I ordered the Kaiseki Lunch special, which included everything I was hoping for: a salad, an appetizer, sashimi, tempura, soba (or udon), some nigiri, and a scoop of ice cream to finish. The salad featured a standard sesame dressing, while the sashimi was decent, with the snapper standing out as particularly good. The appetizer included mozuku, duck, and miso-infused cream cheese. The tempura, featuring vegetables as well as squid and fish, was cooked perfectly—crispy and light on oil. The housemade soba had a delightful texture, accompanied by a flavorful bonito broth. The nigiri was the highlight, with tuna, snapper, yellowtail, scallop, and uni, all very fresh and flavorful. I definitely plan to return for more!"

We have come here a few times and each visit has been great. The food is always fresh and delicious. Highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time. Definitely try the soba! They make it in house and it’s so good! My absolute favorite is the Asari appetizer. The flavor was amazing!!!!

I had a fantastic lunch! Everything was cooked to perfection. The tempura was light and crispy, while the cod was buttery and delicious. This restaurant stands out from your typical strip mall Japanese places; the food quality is outstanding, and the service is both efficient and friendly. I highly recommend it! View menu

I just enjoyed an incredible dinner at this restaurant. Both the service and the food were exceptional. We tried several tempura dishes, zaru soba, and a few appetizers, all of which were fantastic. We also ordered the tsubaki dinner set, which included a mini chirashi with seven delightful pieces of sashimi, along with some fried fish and cooked tuna, all served in wonderful broths, plus some other small sides. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

JAPAN Excerpt from Eat the World Los Angeles: If I-naba was in Japan, it would be in a small alley of a medium city, the type of place that has the usual regulars and a smattering of out-of-towners that have heard about it through friends. Because it is in Torrance, it resides in a medium-sized shopping center on an extra-wide boulevard, but still has the right feel once you take your seat. At that seat, you will be the recipient of what feels like a spa day for your mouth. When a set of tempura, what I-naba is known for and best at, is placed before you, the royal treatment begins. In better times they have a repurposed sushi counter indoors set up for tempura only, and even do a tempura o...

"My experience on this website was extremely unpleasant. Using open table I booked what I thought was a reservation. Upon arrival to the location, I am informed that not only is this restaurant/ location not affiliated to the opentable website; but wait time would be approximately 1 hour. Despite having received an email from open table confirming a “reservation”, BJ’s Restaurant at the Del Amo Fashion Center refused to validate booking and seat our party. Management at this establishment, at the time of expected service “Chris” confirmed booking through the website was only a “quote” of the expected time of service. I was assured nothing could be done since the restaurant was full low staffed. It’s important to note that I have dined at this location on several occasions, and was not nearly as busy compared to past visits. We were encouraged to wait, our party was seated within 15 minutes. Please note my review is based on booking through this website, and the miscommunication between open table corporate BJ’s Restaurants and managing staff. Our waitress was lovely, and the restaurant accommodated to our party as they could. I want to believe that BJ’s is no longer affiliated to open table, and if this is the case please REMOVE THE RESERVATION OPTION. It’s extremely disappointing to use this service only to be let down."
