"Came here last night for dinner with my and my partner's families! It is one of their favorite restaurants. The food is great. The guacamole was fantastic, they make it right in front of you! The corn was good, the empanadas were as well. I ordered the mole duck confit enchiladas. They were delicious! I wanted something that was a fusion of French and Mexican, given that is their theme. My partner, her father, my mother, and my sister had the tostadas. They seemed to enjoy them! My other sister had the salmon burger, and my partner's mother had the mussels. We all enjoyed our food. They also had drinks. The spicy margaritas were well-praised. I strongly recommend Jolie!"

It is unfortunate that they are permanently closed. While I was on Smith Street, I noticed that the doors were covered with brown paper. It used to be one of our favorite places to dine.

I really wanted to like Jolie. I have been there a few times now, but I just can't seem to fully appreciate it. The concept of Mexican/French fusion is intriguing, but there are some issues.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was vibrant, and the mugs were colorful! The waitress was very accommodating and had no problem serving us brunch at 4PM.

A very flavorful and unique Mexican dining experience. The attentive staff explained that the restaurant has Mexican and French influences, which was an unexpected but wonderful combination. Everything was fresh and with a large menu, you can find many things that will suit your palate. I recommend the roasted stuffed poblano pepper incredible sauce and the goat cheese topper is perfect. Everything we ordered was fantastic. View menu

The cocktails and food at this restaurant are delicious. The outdoor dining area is beautiful. We arrived at around 7pm and did not have to wait for a table. However, when we left, there was a long line waiting. We tried various cocktails which were all tasty. I ordered the chicken tacos and my partner got the pork tacos, both of which were delicious. The guacamole was yummy but the portion size was very small, so not really worth it.

The restaurant offers a unique menu that combines Mexican and French cuisines. There is a wide variety of options to choose from and the cocktails are excellent, with several different flavors of Margaritas available. The service was great, although the staff did check vaccination status and were not wearing masks. The restaurant has a good amount of space and the food was delicious, especially the seafood which was of high quality. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant as it is fairly priced for New York.

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
