"So I most definitely gotta leave a review hey guys those of you who have followed my reviews always know that I love to let others know about my experience that I have had which might be different from yours but hey this is my review. so I stepped out on faith today as I visited this restaurant located in Midlothian the name of the restaurant is called Gum Wah I'm a pretty loyal Patron meaning that when I like something I'm going to keep going there so my to go to restaurant I forgot it's closed on Sundays so I was looking on Google nearby restaurants and this one kind of stood out to me I checked the menu I read almost like 90 reviews and I looked at their food online so I said hey why not the gentleman that I talked to over the phone just had a really good energy about him you know like I could tell that he really cares about delivering world class customer service so this next comment doesn't have anything to do with them there wasn't really like a lot of spaces to park so I had to park in this Auto shop parking lot I looked around to see if my vehicle was going to be towed I didn't see anything plus I wasn't going to be in the restaurant very long which was next door so the gentleman at the pickup window was the same gentleman that I talked to over the phone I told him I was here for a pickup and while I waited for my food I think I waited less than 5 minutes I was looking at the menu and I just really had a great conversation with the gentleman that took my payment that I wanted to extend my gratitude appreciation so I left a tip and I had to get a smoothie I really like smoothies by the way I got a strawberry mixed with banana and I added tapioca to my smoothie so when my order was ready and I left the tip on the merchant reciept copy The gentleman gave me some Chinese almond cookies which you guys don't know are one of my favorite cookies and I really like the fortune cookies as well they always have a comforting message that I read when you crack them open I ordered a large chicken fried rice for my wife and son and I and I also got four vegetable egg rolls so I drink the whole entire smoothie before I got home and I wanted to wait and save the almond cookies. when I got home I ate all three almond cookies I left one so my wife can try it so she can see what all the fuss is about I have never had vegetable egg rolls so fresh also the chicken fried rice was so perfectly put together I might have found me a new Chinese restaurant also besides Chinese they specialize in Cantonese Mandarin and Szechuan cuisines so let me leave you with this if you guys are in the Midlothian community please visit this establishment they definitely deserve 10 Stars they are open Tuesday through Saturday and Sunday and they're closed on Monday."

"I enjoyed a delightful dinner at this establishment, where the overall experience was exceptional. For a price range of $50 to $100 per person, I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food, which earned a perfect score of 5. The service was equally outstanding, also deserving of a 5, as the staff was attentive and friendly throughout our meal. The atmosphere of the restaurant added to the experience, creating a welcoming and enjoyable environment, which I would rate a 5 as well. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience!"

"After seeing the episode on Food Network highlighting this place we were able to taste the greatness for ourselves. Parking was easy, seating is plentiful and the a/c was nice and cool. Our server was awesome and walked us through the menu with ease. The Meatball Sub was the best I’ve had, tasty, flavorful, above expectations. We sampled a few dishes,-eggplant with mostaccioli and mozzarella, veal parmigiana sandwich. The next biggest standout was the large thin pizza with sausage, mushrooms, black olives. The Italian sausage was just as tasty as the meatballs in their own way. Overall it’s a great place with awesome food. Prices were good, atmosphere pleasant with lots of TVs showing various sports. "Mr. Randy and his team are truly exceptional. They made my mother’s celebration one that she and her guests will cherish forever. The staff was personable, friendly, and incredibly professional. They were not only accommodating, but also proactive, anticipating the needs of everyone involved. The food was delicious, and the presentation was excellent. The private room, the "Library," was just right for the intimate gathering I had envisioned. If you haven’t yet had the chance to visit, you are really missing out on a gem. I highly recommend this restaurant; it’s outstanding. Thank you to Mr. Randy, Joe, and Megan for your exceptional service!"

"You ever miss, or want to experience, the classic American brunch? This place has been here forever, and this is THE place to go. Prices are completely fair for value, just about everything besides the milk is homemade, and the place feels like a well kept but storied family home (with a 200 capacity dining room). Me and my wife decided to try the place on a whim, and even on driving up we knew we were in for a treat. Outside looks straight from the 70s, but well maintained. Walk inside and you find a fridge with home crafted desserts, and a view that you only know if you've had a local family's brunch. To those local, think Keystone Cafe and Kingsberry. They're unfortunately gone though. Servers were friendly and attentive, but also relaxed and smiling. They've clearly been at this among friends for some time. The menu is diverse yet familiar, with clear names to items and nice puns here or there to give them identity. One big selling point is their house drinks (Non alcohol). They cone as an ENTIRE quart, and consist of homemade Lemonade with various mix ins. I got a Strawberry, and you could feel the fresh berry puree. Heavenly. Our main course was the Shepard's platter and the King Leonidas. Platter came with a fresh plate size pancake, with cooked red potatoes sautéed spinach 2 sunnyside eggs olives and fresh cut tomatoes. She ate half with ease, and only stopped at the potatoes because our Biscuits and Gravy filled us up first. I'm not southern, so I can't speak to how authentic they are, but we loved them. The King Leonidas is basically a Philly, but they did their own thing. Fresh chopped steak, olives, feta, cucumbers, red onions and lettuce on a toasted roll. I'm a Philly snob, but they didn't claim it to be one, and I was intrigued by the ingredients. It was love at first bite. Much leaner and more crisp than a true Philly, bread crisp and soft at the same time pairing perfectly with the well grilled steak and fresh veggies. Oh, and home cut onion rings with a thick crispy batter that means you don't need more than 4 or 5 to be happy. (AT NO UPCHARGE) I cannot recommend Country House Resturant enough. We will absolutely be returning and bringing as many friends as we can."
