"This is a hidden gem of authetic Chinese cuisine, that serves Peking Duck, and it 's definitely worth a try. They have a new items menu as well, but we went here mainly try out the duck, since the owner said it 's their most requested item and sold out quick. No joke, cause we called a couple hours before going and by 7pm the waitress said they 're sold out. The Peking Duck here is served with the wrappers and not buns like other places, but I do perfer wrappers more. The duck skin was nice and crispy, their made-in-house Peking sauce was perfect, and you get to see the chef carve up the duck in front of you For the price of $39.95, you get the whole duck and the soup that goes with it. The duck was delicious and for the soup it was a little light but we enjoyed it as well. We also ordered stir fry snow pea leaves with garlic, but in my opinion, it was okay. I forgot to take a pic of their menu, but the new-items menu is written on a white board in Chinese so if you 're like me, who can 't read Chinese, you can use the help of Google or just bring someone who can read it. Definitely worth a try if you 're in the area!"

They have extended their business hours until 11:00, which is great for night owls like me. I really enjoyed the food, the service, and the atmosphere here. Highly recommended! View menu

I visited this restaurant to try the Dongpo Pork, as recommended by the waitress. I really enjoyed the flavor and tenderness of the dish. I definitely want to return to sample more items from the menu. Food: 5/5

We ordered six dishes, and our favorite was the #21 pepper diced chicken (椒麻鸡丁). The #14 black pepper ribs and #45 Mapo Tofu were also very delicious. However, the cumin lamb was just average. Overall, for a first-time visit, this is definitely a great place.

Legit dongporou (braised pork belly), $15. This alone is reason enough to come here, but more importantly, the lady of the house is so nice and kind without being overbearing. Immediately became my favorite non-noodle spot in Chinatown. We also got the orange chicken, which came with dried orange peels. Quite yum. I'll try some veggie dishes next, namely eggplant! The restaurant has a quirky decor in a cozy space, but that doesn't impact the taste at all. I ordered the Taiwanese-style chicken wing bentobox, and I was extremely pleased with both the quality and quantity! The well-seasoned, crispy chicken paired perfectly with the flavorful rice topped with pork belly (which was fantastic). The veggies added a nice touch to this delightful meal. While I'm sure the hotpot is also delicious (it melts in your mouth), I definitely plan to return for more bentoboxes.

This new restaurant serves delicious hotpot, and we tried their original spicy Mala soup base, which was fantastic. The weather was perfect for a hotpot meal, and the place was packed. To my surprise, there were people lined up outside! The restaurant is a bit hard to find if you're not familiar with the area. We're excited to return and try other soup base flavors. Today, I went back to give it another go and got to try their new Mala Pork Feet Pot. I was fortunate enough to be the first to order it, and the pork feet were tender while the soup base was incredibly flavorful.

"Food good. Location good. Service good. BUT, the hidden charges REALLY ruined an otherwise nice experience. Example: HH menu lists Martinis as a $3 upcharge to the $7 base charge. Fair enough. Bombay is a listed alcohol; requested. When the bill was returned I was charged for a Bombay Sapphire which is not on the HH list. Charge? $11 $3. I asked for Bombay, not Bombay Sapphire. Waiter: Oh, let me look into that. AND, by the way Blue Cheese olives? Extra $1. REALLY? I 've NEVER paid extra for BC olives ANYWHERE. AND the confusing menus that a dish as including an extra sauce, [and I don 't recall the exact language but it made it seem that an additional items could be selected as well. Oops, there goes an extra $10.95. AND, the waiter recommending a twice-baked potato. Bah, boom, another $5.95. [which in fairness is disclosed on the menu in a different location, but waiter made it sound as if it was a no-charge option on the surf and turf. AND the split plate charge which I don 't think was disclosed on the menu. Ding, ding, extra $3.00. Was this a waiter, who was overly up-selling or restaurant deception? Don 't know. As I said, the food WAS good. AND, the ambience [at least in the bar area, stay away of the hotel-ballroom-like main dining area was nice. Just beware the nickel and dime charges that the waiter won 't be disclosing to you."
