"I would probably give this place a rating of 3.5 out of 5 if I could. First of all, the server was incredibly friendly, and I have no complaints about the service. The restaurant is clean, and while the interior is small, it's quite charming. Although many reviews are highly enthusiastic, I found the food to be rather average. My boyfriend ordered the bulgogi yutari bowl and thought it was good. I tried the Osaka namba roll and found it decent, though it felt a bit small for a $16 special roll. Lastly, we ordered the $10 pork buns, which already seemed pricey for pork buns, and they were underwhelming—just average, really. They were also the smallest buns I’ve ever had, and I’ve had plenty! Overall, it's a cute establishment with friendly staff, but the food was average and felt slightly overpriced."

The food and staff here are exceptional. This is the only place I order dinner from on Main Street. The sushi and crunchy tofu buns are outstanding. Food: 5, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 5.

The Tempura Udon and the Chicken Tempura Kushi are my absolute favorites! I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Even the spicy mayo is incredible! I highly recommend this place!

food is always great however I have to heat it up every time. ramen soup broth comes warm every time. so besides having to reheat the food every time its great. only saying this now because I had order multiple times already and still the same.

I really want to love this place; I once did. However, I keep finding hair in my ramen. This isn't the first time—actually, it’s the third. I ordered the shrimp ramen and, of course, found a piece of hair at the bottom after finishing the entire bowl. View menu

I had the Yaki Soba Noodles, Japanese Vegetable Spring Roll, and Beef Bulgogi Sushi. Everything was absolutely delicious! I've ordered from koiKOKORO multiple times, and I've always enjoyed the food. It's fresh, tasty, and offers great value for the money.

This is the second time I've had to reheat the soup and shumai. This time, I also noticed that an item was missing. I understand that mistakes happen, but I shouldn't have to microwave my food. On a positive note, the taste of the food is delicious, and the ramen soup is great!

"My husband and I have been coming here since it opened over 6 years ago, it was one of my favorites as I love the Porcini Mushroom sauce with Filet Mignon and my husband loved the skirt steak. $27 for me $47 for him. I guess not so bad except it used to come in a pasta bowl with slices of meat and now mine comes in a salad bowl with the meat cut into small tiny pieces and mixed into the pasta so you are unaware that you only received 2.5 slices of filet and my husbands steak was so small, a small scoop of mashed potatoes completely covered in the onion string "garnish "of which he dusted off. Needless to say he went home and had a sandwich. 8 inches long by 2 inches to 1 inch at best at the tail less than 1/2 inch thick. The best part!!!! The runner brings our meals and I don 't eat grated cheese. Ever!!!! But my dish is covered in it. I was in shock. I said I don 't eat cheese he said not at all? Really!! He takes it back and now my husband has his plate and we must wait again. He won 't touch his because I don 't have mine. Needless to say when mine arrived his was ice cold. Waiter said he would find the manager... when I asked the waiter what had happened to the portion size , he said you can talk to him about both issues. He never came to the table. Not about the screw up with my food or the downgrade in the portion size of everything. The disrespect, not even to come see if we were ok! They just lost customers. We won 't be back. Money for most is scarce these days and I won 't waste it on that. They are not the only place around, as Islip and the neighborhoods around them have plenty of others to choose from."
