"Friend of mine went in here for lunch, but unfortunately I couldn 't tag along due to a work schedule. We 've both been here many times and enjoy the food and the staff. This negative review purely is reflective of the manager that was on duty 10/14. I asked my friend if he could bring me back a Thai Tea (theirs is my favorite it is so so good) but with no ice so it wouldn 't melt on his walk back to the office. He asked the waitress if he could order it with no ice, she was very kind btw, and she went to ring it up and the manager, who was in ear shot said if he doesn 't want ice it 's gonna cost him extra. in a very nasty tone. It 's a shame that such a nice, local business wants to try and make an extra buck over ICE. The principle of it is, my friend paid for it regardless, but the nasty attitude was uncalled for. Keep the wonderful food and staff, find a better manager who actually likes to engage with their customers."

"Recently ordered lunch from the guest house. We ordered two orders of steak kabob's. The steak was seasoned well, it was a bit overcooked but still very tender. The greek salad was great, it beat expectations. The grilled vegetables though were a bit perplexing, they were very seasoned but there was so much oil on them that you couldn't taste the seasoning or the vegetables themselves thru the oil. All in all though it was a good meal. Service: Take out Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Recommended dishes: Greek Salad"

"Restaurant 1818 at Monmouth is an absolute jewel of Natchez, MS. We have dined here three times now and every experience has been perfection. The service and food are excellent. The ambiance is extraordinary . I thoroughly enjoy the music softly performed by the live pianist . I feel as though I am transported through time as we dine surrounded by this beautiful historic home that I adore. Thank you to the staff that take such good care of us each time we visit ."

"What a real treat today! We split a brisket cheddar and bacon sandwich on toasted sourdough with caramelized onions and airlines. My gosh every bite was fantastic. Thr Mac and cheese was great and the corn and bean salad had a lovely vinaigrette with a little kick to it! Service was quick and easy going. Love that. We are here for a week and will be back! Thank you"

"We arrived roughly an hour before closing time, and even though we didn’t feel rushed, my fish turned out to be overcooked and tough. It’s an understandable mistake, but it did affect the overall enjoyment of our meal. The French fries were baked, which didn’t cause too much of an allergy reaction for me, but I’ll definitely ask about a gluten-free option next time. We didn't utilize the parking lot since we walked over from our bed and breakfast, The Guest House. All in all, it was a delightful experience!"
