"This summer, I 've been trying different sandwich shops in Stl see if I 'd find one, that knocks Eovaldi 's off its pedestal. No ...this place isn 't accomplishing that in my mind but it 's (still) a great place to try and experience. First off, you 're in a combo neighborhood grocery, meat market, deli place. Has these old retro tables and decor that just feels right. They side cold items were all pretty darn good...and they had more to choose from. The Legend Club....their most popular sandwich....had great pastrami on it....the bread was excellent. Sandwich had a house sauce...that had some heat and a bit unique taste. And the sandwich was warmed....which next time, I 'd prefer it cold. I love this little place.....and look to mix it in, when I 'm back in Stl."

Good quality subs! Got our food quickly, even with a small line. Service was great and kind.

I made a big mistake. Because of a miscommunication, I was left without a caterer just 5 days before my son's wedding rehearsal dinner. Enter LeGrand's...

I was recommended this deli by a friend, so I decided to stop by before heading to the zoo. There was a wide variety of sandwiches to choose from, making it difficult to decide on just one.

If you like a little spice then I would recommend the Legrand Club. I had mine served warm. I will say when I've had other deli sandwiches warm they were served hot and this was warm which I was slightly disappointed but they did say it would be warm after all. The atmosphere is cute and retro and the service was excellent. Overall I rate this place 5/5, I will be back! View menu

I was in ST. LOUIS and I don't understand the hype over this place. I have tried it a couple of times and it is at best mediocre. We got a carry out order of a cod sandwich and it was cold and missing the lettuce, tomato, and tarter sauce (which we asked for) and had a jar of banana peppers on it. The Tri-tip was missing the cheddar sauce (which we had said we wanted). The bread was nothing special either. Go to Amighettis or Adrianas =they are better

This is a great spot to get sandwiches, a cold drink, or some tp! There is a long list of sandwiches available, and they are made fresh. The deli case also has some prepared salads or meats. If you want to enjoy a sandwich immediately, there are tables set up in the middle of the store. There are also some groceries available, even some produce so you don 't have to stop at the big store . The staff is always friendly and service is quick. This is a pleasant store to stop in if you live in the neighborhood!

One of the best spots when craving a unique, freshly made sandwich. We tried trying a new one each time but its difficult not reordering what you had the previous time. When hard to decide, we've asked who ever is making our sandwich to make us their personal favorite and it ended up outstanding. The chip, dessert and soda/beverage options are endless to add onto the meal. Their meat counter is exceptional quality and the butchers are great helpers with questions or recommendations. The staff have a contagious friendliness that spreads to the customers, everyone is always in a great mood. A south city treasure all around. View menu

A friend recommended this deli to me, so I decided to swing by before a trip to the zoo. Lots of selection in sandwiches. It was almost hard to decide on one! Favorite part though, every sandwich is offered in either hot or cold. My sandwich was delicious, and I could tell the cuts of meat were high quality. There are side options, other prepared food items, a large selection of meat products for purchase, and a wall of refrigerated beverages. There is seating in the middle section of the store, if you prefer to eat there. To the left is a small well stocked market area with grocery items. Great place to come for a quick lunch or on the go meal! PSA: the gooey butter cookies are da BOMB !!!

I made a big mistake. Due to a misunderstanding, I found myself without a caterer 5 days before my son's wedding rehearsal dinner. F*#k. Enter LeGrand's. They could tell I was panicked and assured me they could accommodate me in their schedule. I looked over the menu- so many choices for every budget! Joe helped me arrange a lasagna buffet with all the toppings. They arrived on time and helped me set everything up. Plates, utensils, napkins, and serving utensils were all provided. What did the guests say? Wow, where is this from? This lasagna is incredible. Can I take some potatoes home for tomorrow's breakfast? This is the best salad I've ever had. LeGrand's, you have a loyal customer in me...

"My boyfriend and I came to this place during our visit to St. Louis after reading rave reviews about it online. We went in well-dressed and excited with high expectations, but unfortunately were left feeling extremely disappointed and underwhelmed. Dining at the restaurant definitely taught us a lot about the ozark history. I have a lot of respect for the time and enthusiasm the owner put into researching the history, arranging youtube videos, and conveying this information to the guests. His concerns about the environment and zero-waste efforts are also very laudable. His direct interactions with all of the guests and attempts to answer questions were refreshing. The food, however, was very lacking and mediocre. The concept of watching your food being made is fun and exciting. Understandably, they can’t make everything and plenty is prepared in advance. Except they really didn’t seem to make much of anything at all. A few grilled mushrooms here, and a delicate but also pompous plating there and that’s it. I know there’s probably a kitchen in the back and they work throughout the day as most kitchens do, but this gaudy element of pseudo showmanship missed a serious mark. Again, that’s fine. It’s an aesthetic and part of the bulrush experience. What annoys me is the price tag and the faint whiff of haughtiness that comes with it. The kitchen hands also looked apathetic, disinterested, and lacked focus. They didn’t look like professional chefs, just professional food assemblers. I did not trust that they knew to prepare food properly and that was evident in what was eventually served. The food was either too plain, too sour, too salty, or overall a very big disappointment. The steak had so many big chunks of fat in it that I was only able to eat about half of it. The poissants were cute but definitely not something I would pay that much money for, especially given that there were only about two small pieces of it on our plates. The beets, brussel sprouts, asparagus, fried onions that we were served, I can find and reproduce in my own kitchen. For the amount of money we paid, I expected a lot more flavor, unique ingredients, and creativity. I asked the owner why Ozark and he admitted it was an entrepreneurial strategy to stand out. He loved to repeat to our audience that night that “no one else” is doing it! Well when you taste the food you can kinda see why? I can’t deny though that the chefs know how to make something look appetizing in pictures. That’s what initially attracted us to the restaurant. The pretty platings and colorfully spectacular arrangements were what got us in the door. The experience has been worth it in the sense that for all that we paid for, we got a good lesson to not eat with our eyes, and a funny story to tell our friends back at home."
