"First, I want to emphasize that this is not meant to criticize the restaurant harshly. Constructive feedback is essential for their success and should be welcomed. Here’s my straightforward take: 1. The cabbage appetizer was outstanding—perfectly cooked and seasoned, with a sauce that complemented the cabbage and pork beautifully. However, the appetizer shouldn’t outshine the main courses. 2. The drinks were excellent. 3. The service was exceptional. 4. The grilled scallops, unfortunately, were overcooked. The char from the grill was so strong it overwhelmed the dish, giving it an intense campfire flavor. Given the price, the portion size was disappointing. Similarly, the oxtail dish was tasty but also lacked sufficient portion size. We left hungry enough to stop and buy food on the way home. When I read the restaurant’s description, I expected a comforting, home-cooked meal inspired by childhood flavors. Instead, the meal felt more like a tasting experience. If this were a multi-course menu, smaller portions might make sense, but when an entrée is called “Big Ole,” it sets the expectation of a hearty, filling meal. I sincerely hope the management and owners take this feedback to heart, ensuring that the portions and dishes align with the promises made in the menu descriptions."

The food is fantastic! Our server, Asia, sometimes seemed to vanish and had a bit of an attitude. However, everyone else was great!

We were a party of four, but the app only allowed us to book a table for two, forcing us to make two separate reservations, which was rather odd. The food was average and felt overpriced for what we got, leaving us somewhat underwhelmed.

The decor of the place is awesome. Food and service definitely matched our expectations. The menu is concise yet unique. Our cocktails delighted our evening and made the entire meal an overall pleasant night out. I could definitely come back. View menu

A fun restaurant with a unique menu. The mussels were small and tasty with a special toast for the excellent sauce. Oxtail with grits, fried like hushpuppies, was good but quite a small portion. Cabbage was also nice. We would not order chicken skins again but we glad we tried then.

The food was overpriced and not a good variety of choices. As a “starter” they gave you a piece of Texas toast with a brown butter, unacceptable to say the least. The drinks were horrible! I had to ask for Tequila instead of Vodka which made the drink good. The first drink I ordered was drenched in ginger and black tea, no liquor, just a strong taste of ginger. Not a great concept with the food or drinks. The ambiance was nice but I would not go back or even refer this to anyone!

"My friends and I were enjoying a beautiful night in South End and one of them had found this place online. So we stopped by for a drink. Wow! Gorgeous place! The interior design gave me the warm, welcoming feeling of being at The Grand Bohemian Lodge in Greenville SC- upscale, but unpretentious, inviting, and fun. We were immediately welcomed by the bartenders who talked to us about their different beers and kombuchas. We ordered a couple of flights to sample as many as we could and sat down to play Jenga in one of their many seating areas. Our spot was 2 old leather couches flanking a gorgeous wooden coffee table. So relaxing and sociable. I’ve never been in a brew pub with so much greenery (ferns and other foliage adorn and drape from the rafters filling corners and crannies around the room), natural wood, and light! Another great feature was a floor-to-ceiling wall cabinet filled with really cool things. The beers were unique and fun to try. The vibe is worth the visit even if you don’t love beer. I enjoyed a glass of prosecco and loved learning about and sampling the other beverages. They also have a great outdoor space for gathering where dogs are welcome. My sense is this place was designed for building community, which is something we all need more of. Turn off your cellphones and come here to meet people, pet dogs, and enjoy a great experience!"
