"We drove a hour away , just thinking about brisket and looked this place up and saw a four star rating but this place is a waste of your money. We walked in and the owner was at the bar working and didn?t even say Hi, that should of been a sign and we should of walked back out but like I said we wanted some brisket. We got in one line and felt rushed and couldn?t get a good idea what my husband wanted but I knew I wanted brisket so I ordered a one meat plate with brisket and my husband wanted a two meat plate but didn?t have it, had to order a one meat plate then order any other meat as a ala arte which we got chicken. My husband ordered brisket plate also and ordered chicken as a alacarte. The plate comes with 2 sides so we got potato salad, coleslaw and beans.Let?s start with the food the brisket was so dry on both plates that we had to use a lot of bbq sauce. The chicken was smoked , I guess but it was also dried and that is my husband favorite thing was chicken but not that chicken. The beans didn?t have any flavor or even juice to not make them so dry.The potato salad was good and my husband said the coleslaw was okay.We got two waters and two jalapeños. We paid $49 dollars and some change. We we?re very very disappointed on our food but it was paid for already so of course we ate it but we will not be going back or recommending this place to anyone.Waste of or time and money."

Brisket is big; his so delicate it just falls apart. Sausage and their BBQ sauce are also very good. My first impressions are really great. Will definitely return

It's been a while but oh how do I love this place. Links are still like I remember. Sauce is exactly the same. I love it. Brisket is perfect. Never a bad meal here. Thanks for all the memories and great food.

The menu is limited, but what they have was good. Customer service was really amazing from start to finish. We had a turkey sandwich, a brisket(super tender) and beef link. The prices are a little staple for BBQ, but completely worth it for taste and quantity. The bride melts in your mouth.

I 've been here twice and the 'Q is awesome. The first visit the brisket was moist and tasty, the pork ribs were even better, the beef sausage link was very good. My second visit the brisket was a tad dry, the pork ribs were meaty and full of flavor, tried the spicy sausage link, great taste but not much spice. The sides i tried were and very good cole slaw and beans....they were so good the first time why change. If you haven 't been....go!

I was here twice, and the Q is great. The first visit to the brisket was moist and tasty, the pork ribs were even better, the beef sausage compound was very good. My second visit to Brisket was a tad dry, the pork ribs were fleshy and full of taste, tried the spicy sausage compound, great taste, but not much spice. The pages I tried were and very good Cole Slav and beans... they were for the first time so good why change. If you don't....go!

This restaurant should not be allowed to carry the name Luling City Market. If you're looking for a better tasting grill that offers good value, make the trip to Luling, Texas! With 75 years of experience, Stong serves much better food, including hot links for $3 or less. You can choose how to spend your money, but these are not just opinions—these are facts! Just look at the long line wrapped around the building in Luling; it's all in the numbers! View menu

Great flavor and good prices just like I like it! You can order in, togo orrrrr order delivery through apps. It's kinda like Papa's bbq but with more flavor! They have reasonable prices. The staff was pretty friendly and quick. It's not a hugerestaurant I would say capacity would be around 50ppl or so. Good place for biz lunches or family time. My first time I was bymyself during lunch time on a weekday. Wasn't to bad of a crowd but they were busy. Try the brisket!

"Food good. Location good. Service good. BUT, the hidden charges REALLY ruined an otherwise nice experience. Example: HH menu lists Martinis as a $3 upcharge to the $7 base charge. Fair enough. Bombay is a listed alcohol; requested. When the bill was returned I was charged for a Bombay Sapphire which is not on the HH list. Charge? $11 $3. I asked for Bombay, not Bombay Sapphire. Waiter: Oh, let me look into that. AND, by the way Blue Cheese olives? Extra $1. REALLY? I 've NEVER paid extra for BC olives ANYWHERE. AND the confusing menus that a dish as including an extra sauce, [and I don 't recall the exact language but it made it seem that an additional items could be selected as well. Oops, there goes an extra $10.95. AND, the waiter recommending a twice-baked potato. Bah, boom, another $5.95. [which in fairness is disclosed on the menu in a different location, but waiter made it sound as if it was a no-charge option on the surf and turf. AND the split plate charge which I don 't think was disclosed on the menu. Ding, ding, extra $3.00. Was this a waiter, who was overly up-selling or restaurant deception? Don 't know. As I said, the food WAS good. AND, the ambience [at least in the bar area, stay away of the hotel-ballroom-like main dining area was nice. Just beware the nickel and dime charges that the waiter won 't be disclosing to you."
