"A Taste of Iran in Laguna HillsI recently had the pleasure of visiting Sweet Lili's Bakery in Laguna Hills, California, and let me tell you, it was a truly delightful experience. This charming bakery, owned by two Iranian sisters, offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly complements their exceptional Persian pastries.From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with a genuine smile and a warm welcome by one of the owners. The friendly and accommodating nature of the staff immediately made me feel at home.Sweet Lili's Bakery is a treasure trove for anyone with a sweet tooth. Their Persian pastries are simply outstanding. The flavors are rich and unique, offering a tantalizing blend of traditional Iranian ingredients and techniques. Each bite transported me to a world of exquisite flavors, filled with delicate rosewater, fragrant saffron, and the perfect balance of sweetness.One of my personal favorites was the saffron-infused pistachio baklava. The layers of flaky pastry, combined with the aromatic saffron and the crunch of pistachios, created a heavenly symphony of flavors. It was truly a treat for the senses. I also had the pleasure of trying their delicate almond cookies, which were melt-in-your-mouth delicious.What sets Sweet Lili's Bakery apart, apart from their delectable pastries, is the genuine care and attention that goes into every creation. The sisters pour their hearts into their baking, ensuring that each pastry is made with love and precision. "I think the name has always kept me away, because I thought it was just a pizzeria. This place offers way more than pizza! The outside, like the name, is very understated. When you walk in, you recognize this place is upscale! The music, the lighting, the ambiance was perfect for a nice dinner (inside temp was warm and needed to be cooler, kind of uncomfortable). The service was very good. Our server, Adrian, made very good recommendations and even comped our dessert because it was our first time there. The menu offers a variety of pizzas, pasta, and protein. I chose the linguine with clams and was not disappointed! The serving size was perfect.... actually, it was so good that I wanted more! I HIGHLY recommend this place. Outdoor seating is also available, where you can enjoy the cool night air."

"They have had price increases to their menu and I feel that perhaps they need to add an additional dollar sign to their ratings so diners are prepared. The tacos are unique and always very good. The Ceviche is not of the same freshness it really good when fresh. The service is always slow but as long as you are with good company, it’s worth the waiting. However, this visit the waitress dumped an entire small bottle of alcohol in my husband’s lap and then quietly said a sarcastically sounding “sorry” to him as if it was a common thing for her. I had to ask for a napkin after the spill and she handed him a cocktail napkin as if it would be enough. They gave us 50% off the $22 drink for the spill but probably would have been better to not dump the drink in the first place, I know, accidents happen, but when they do, give a sincere apology and get something to help clean it up! The service is an example of them having a young staff as servers but again, the tacos are really good."

"Excellent selection of mouth watering Indian food including Tandoori, Curries and offering both meat protein and vegetarian dishes. The manager, Alvin, and his staff are attentive and so polite. Definitely recommend Sattva Indian Cuisine in Aliso Viejo. Great place to eat before going to the adjacent movie theaters Edward's Aliso Viejo Stadium ."

"The restaurant was nice and clean, very attractive and feeling good atmosphere! Not too loud, not too quite, it was good. It was on a Saturday around 4 pm. Purge place was not too crowded. Waited about 10 minutes before we sat down at our table. Waiterwas good, he was attentive, professional, and friendly. But the food was definitely not what I was expecting, especially forthe price we paid. The plates here are on the pricey side, which I am ok with that, but the price did not match the taste of thefood. I had a prime rib with a loaded potato and fries, my daughter had some type of pasta and my wife had some flat breadthingy (Like a pizza . All plates were delicious, except for mine. The prime rib, loaded potatoes and fries were not so tasty.Fries were soggy, loaded potato was pretty dry, even after putting all the butter, sour cream and all the other ingredientsgiven to me, the prime rib was juicy, but I asked for it to be well done, it came medium rare, not a deal breaker, I still likeit, but definitely not my favorite. (I didn’t say anything because I wanted to eat with my family, everyone had their platesalready. For the $40 I paid, definitely not worth half of that. I didn’t even finish it all, and I did not want to take ithome either! But the flat bread thing and the pasta my wife and daughter had, those were actually really delicious, and thecheesy pretzel skillet that we had as a starter was finger liking good lol. I probably won’t come back, nor suggest thisrestaurant to others!"
