"New Orleans is not known for amazing Chinese or Japanese food so when my friend from California visited, I was surprised when she wanted to go to Luvi. But the food is wonderful. We tried several of the raw dishes everything was super fresh and melt in your mouth quality yellowtail, tuna, salmon, you name it. The Chef also has some great Shanghainese offerings like cold cucumber that is super authentic and not something you often find. There are also enough delicious options like dumplings and noodles to satiate your hunger. I hate leaving nicer restaurants still feeling hungry, which won’t be a problem at Luvi. Also the drinks are refreshing and imaginative. All in all a superb dining experience and a much needed addition to the NOLA food scene."

Easily one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The service was great and the atmosphere is very cozy and hip. The only thing I regret is not getting the Feed Me which should be a must. View menu

The food was incredibly delicious; every bite was full of flavor. My favorite dish was the spicy dan dan noodles, which I highly recommend. The staff was very friendly and polite, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was calm and comfortable. My partner and I were glad we made an early reservation. We will certainly be back!

Amazing! If you're a fan of sushi and dim sum, this place will leave you speechless. It's the best of both worlds. I highly recommend the "Feed Me" option if you enjoy raw fish; the presentation and flavor combinations are outstanding. The golden nugget is another must-try—imagine a shrimp dumpling wrapped in funnel cake. It's fantastic! View menu

Everything on the raw menu is great. The acoustics make for some loud conversation but that’s not necessarily bad. I really enjoyed the curried dumplings. Fried cabbage was like a delectable soup with ample cabbage on top. The service was also prompt and friendly. It seemed like the people genuinely enjoyed working there which is not always the case. Overall a winner

This is such a fun experience. The food was delish. We got the feed me and it was incredibly well-crafted. Next time I will sit at the bar to watch the chef craft the plates. The service also deserves a mention. They were turning over tables rapidly (seriously those plates were flying out of the kitchen) and still making time to chit chat with the guests in the space which is pleasant!! It’s a smaller space so a reservation is probably a good idea. We got the margarita and it was really different! Plus strong! Overall a lovely spot. I’ll take friends when in town etc.
