"On a tip from Melanie, at the Durango Downtown Ambassador kiosk, we visited Hermosa Cafe for a coffee snack. The food options in the cooler were pretty well picked through so we went with a Roasted Veggie sandwich. Coffee’s were tasty, and certainly on the stronger side. Staff was friendly. The neighboring shop had live music playing outside and he was AWESOME; very mellow and talented. It was the cherry on top of our morning here in Durango. Sadly, we are posting a one star deduction as the staff somehow forgot to make our sandwich and after 20 minutes we went in to check on it. About 10 minutes later it came out. We weren’t in a hurry so it wasn’t a big deal. All in all good visit."

I love this place coming from a standpoint of being a barista for Starbucks. I was floored by how warming, welcoming and beautiful this cafe is. Love the decor little bathroom humor! Lol and the matcha green tea actually tastes healthy. Not a load of sugar like Starbucks. . I love this cafe View menu

Great coffee and gelato. One of the easier places to find parking nearby. They have some gluten-free options and are working to add more. I love the quaint outdoor seating and the indoor area is great for doing computer work. Ask the girls about the history of the building. The little bookstore is also fun.

As I've mentioned in other reviews of coffee places around the country, when we roll into town we try the coffee. Durango Colorado is the city for it! Magpies Newsstand is amazing for the gifts and snacks whole walking and shopping around downtown Durango, but the speciality drinks!!! The kids got the Italian sodas that were my wife and I got the Butterbeer Latte

It was great to pop in here. It's bustling with conversation and you see a great mixture of regulars and people passing through. The coffee is great and the staff is kind and helpful. One batista explained that their lavender syrup is made in house and that is probably why their honey lavender latte tastes a bit better than most coffee spots. Bonus points for a great waffle View menu

This was my first visit to this warm and cozy place, and I felt immediately welcomed. Keenan greeted us and crafted the most delicious Honey Vanilla Latte and Turmeric Latte. When we spotted the fluffy gelato, we couldn't resist indulging in the Salted Caramel flavor—it was absolutely delicious! It’s such a fun spot to explore, with cheerful conversations all around. This is definitely a place you have to check out!

This is a lovely place for cold treats, especially if you are walking from the train museum down the street. They have an outdoor window for shaved ice. Indoors they have fresh gelato. We had the gelato, it was delicious and the staff very VERYFRIENDLY and helpful. I appreciated the shaded outdoors seating areas. It's easy to overlook b/c it doesn't pop up on searchfor dessert, ice cream, or gelato. But they definitely have cold and delicious treats!!!
