"The food exceeded my expectations, honestly. The chorizo empanada was warm, hearty, and extremely flavorful (not spicy for those who don't handle spice well! . I paired it with a side of onion sour cream (extra $0.59 per sauce , highly recommend. The caramelized pear empanada was good but room temp and for a bite sized portion it was only a dollar cheaper. Next time I'm going for 2-3 entree empanadas now that I know how good they are. The atmosphere is really inviting. Bright colors. Earthy tones. Plants. Overall just a nice spot for brunch or lunch. The place was spotless as well. The man serving me didn't speak English well, and that's okay, the only reason that mattered is because I tried asking for suggestions on what to get and he couldn't understand my question. So I just pointed to things and he gave me a thumbs up or down. We made it work and he was soooo nice and patient while I decided. Overall I would recommend this spot to anyone down in the area or even a lunch spot after shopping at REI. There's also a $7 parking lot right next to it"

Was expecting More for the price. p.s. there is a difference between ham and roasted pork. just saying. spinach empanadas would be 20,000 X better with some cotija. and less allspice.

I've heard great things about this restaurant, so I decided to stop by after dinner for a dessert empanada. I tried the Nutella and apple empanadas, and they were decent. However, I think I would have enjoyed them more if they had been served warm instead of cold. I'm definitely planning to return to try the warm ones!

I'm a huge fan of Maria Empanadas! Although I'm not a vegetarian, I actually think all of their vegetarian options taste better than the meat ones. I wasn't impressed with the Argentina (steak and egg) or the chorizo; they just didn't have much flavor. My favorite is the spinach empanada, and I also really enjoy the mushroom and corn varieties.

Maria Empanada never fails to impress! This is why I always make it a point to stop by for breakfast whenever I'm in Denver. They offer a fantastic selection of empanadas even in the morning, and my absolute favorite is the breakfast empanada with egg and potato. It's the ideal meal to grab on the go, whether you're planning to take a walk in the park or simply craving some delicious empanadas! View menu

The Scarlett Vetter says....Cute little empanada place. Authentic. I was with a small Denver Foodie tour. We stopped here for a snack. The selection of empanadas is quite impressive with all different varieties from Ham and Cheese to Chicken Chimichari, Sierra, Argentina, Beef Classico, Corn, Spinach, Caprese, Veggie and 2 Breakfast choices. Prices were more than I expected for a handheld pocket sandwich but the offerings were quite delicious!

In my opinion, this place serves the best empanadas in Denver. They are a generous size, so two should satisfy one person looking for a quick and delicious breakfast or lunch. My personal favorite is the chorizo empanada, especially when paired with chimichurri on the side. Their lemonade, mixed with strawberry dragonfruit, is incredibly refreshing. These empanadas are also a great option for catering since they are easy to handle and not messy at all.

"Love this place! Absolutely zero complaints. Wife surprised me with a stay in Rino for Father’s Day with Colorado Sake being the main reason for the stay. I’m a sake enthusiast at home. Everything we tried was amazing. We spent a couple of hours and did a couple of flights along with some Kanzake(warm sake) and tried 5-6 different izikaya dishes and they were all amazing. We stumbled upon a comedy show that we didn’t even know was happening which was absolutely hilarious. I loved the place so much, I ended up going back in the morning for round 2 and tried the remaining flavors I missed the night before.Met Taylor and she was incredibly attentive and helped us get through the rest of the flavors so we could pick the 6 bottles I wanted to take home as well as recommending some amazing food options. They had ran out of take home bottles and she did everything in her power to figure out a way for me to be able to bring home the bottles we wanted. Thankfully the owner came in with more bottles right before we left. All in all, one of the best Father’s Day trips I’ve had, such good food and the best drinks.I can’t wait to go down there again. Unfortunately I have a feeling I am going to have a hard time drinking the traditional sake I’m used to because this slightly different version is so damn good!Again shoutout to Taylor and the crew for taking the greatest care of us.This place rocks!!!"
