"Huge disappointment, made worse as we had naively believed it was the continuator of Kaygetsu's great food and service: it is instead the antipodes. Small ho-hum miso soup; then omakase featuring nigiri worse than off-the-shelf at Safeway--tasteless, tired, suspect. Some sort of prawn that had no meat at all but antennae that slipped under the sushi on a plate and nearly choked one diner. Store-bought cheesecake to top it off. Servers take no notice of abundant abandoned bits, which means they probably know quite well how bad it all is. No wonder hardly anyone there on a weekend. Don't risk it."

Very poor food quality for the price. Some cooked food was not even warm. I'd probably get better sushi and dishes at a food court nearby. The server was very kind but that was about it.

Unfortunately, this restaurant is dead! The place is so depressing, with walls cracked and the ambiance dark, cold, spiritless, and so dull. It looks like that everything is in chaos⦠This place needs to change ownership or close!!!

A hidden gem! Delicious course kaiseki and my mom said it was the best meal she had ever had in her life. Left very full, but not feeling heavy. The ingredients were so fresh. It was like you could taste the story that the chef was writing. Just amazing! View menu

The food was great and presented well. Everything looked so good. I especially liked the beef in sukiyaki broth over the fire and the soup. Although I didn't enjoy the smell of the place, I had a great dinner with my wife. The Kaiseki menu was definitely worth the price if you are celebrating an anniversary.

The breadth of the menu has been impacted by our pandemic times, but the food has not. Melt in your mouth hamachi, don't miss the sea urchin chawanmushi or the black cod. Service has flagged a little compared to the before times, but very acceptable. Definitely worth a trip despite the bland shopping center location. It's an oasis.
