"My boyfriend and I had dinner at this restaurant and both opted for the lamb gyros. He chose rice as his side, while I went for the salad. We also shared an appetizer of hummus and pita. Unfortunately, I found the salad dressing to be excessively vinegary, and the lettuce had a texture that felt a bit frozen. The rice was cooked well, but it lacked flavor. The hummus was quite bland, tasting like plain chickpeas right out of a can. On the bright side, the gyro meat and Tzatziki sauce were the highlights of our meal; both were quite delicious. Overall, we were disappointed and likely won't return."

This is one of the freshest and most delicious gyros I've ever tasted in Florida, and the portion size is very generous as well.

The staff were very friendly, but unfortunately, the pork souvlaki was extremely tough and lacking in flavor—it was by far the chewiest piece of meat I've ever had. I simply couldn't eat it. This was a real letdown, and I won't be returning.

I was disappointed with the souvlaki. The pork was deep-fried and lacked both aroma and flavor, so I ended up throwing it away. The cashier who took my order seemed indifferent and didn’t smile at all. I could barely hear her when she spoke, and she appeared more focused on her phone than on serving customers. What a shame. I placed a large lunch order for an office meeting in Stuart today. The staff was extremely helpful in processing my order quickly so I could arrive at my appointment on time. They even helped me carry the food to my car. The food was outstanding, and the service was exceptional. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for Greek or Mediterranean cuisine!

I'm a bit surprised by the reviews I've seen here. I've eaten at this restaurant twice recently and found the gyro to be outstanding, with plenty of meat. The service was average—not great, but not bad either. Although the interior could use some updates, I chose to order takeout. What really matters to me is the taste of the food, and I thought it was quite enjoyable.

We had a fantastic experience! We both opted for the falafel gyros accompanied by a Greek salad, and everything was exceptional. The falafels were the best we’ve ever tasted, served with a delicious sauce on the side and wrapped in a soft pita. The Greek salads were equally impressive, loaded with fresh ingredients, feta cheese, and a wonderful dressing. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were quite reasonable. We will definitely be returning! View menu

I visited the gyro restaurant for dinner at 8:40 PM. As I was about to place my order, the cashier inquired whether I was picking up or ordering. When I mentioned that I was ordering, she informed me that they were closed. This was quite odd, as their sign clearly indicates that they are open until 9 PM, and the "open" sign was lit. If they were genuinely closed, they should have locked the door to avoid letting in more customers and turned off the open sign.

No vacation feels complete without a stop at Mr. Gyros! My mom and I discovered this hidden gem years ago, and we make it a tradition to visit every year during our vacation to Hutchison Island. The portion sizes are incredibly generous—there's an abundance of delicious food! As a big eater, I barely made a dent in my Gyro before needing to take the leftovers home. It's a wonderful family-owned restaurant that serves all the beloved Greek classics. I'm so happy to be back and I can’t recommend it highly enough!

"I don’t ever write reviews and I don’t have the time to write reviews but after tonight I made the time. The Gafford was, one of our favorite restaurants in town. After tonight, that isn’t the case . Per usual and expected the bar is busy at 5 PM on a Wednesday during season. We were lucky enough to get a two top with a great waitress in the bar area. We had fabulous service and then requested a customized salad based on dietary restrictions only to see if it were possible… this is where things went down hill. The waitress explained that the kitchen was busy, and that the chef could only add a few condiments to their standard salads that were offered on their menu. We told her that we totally understood and we were grateful for whatever the chef could accommodate. 10 minutes later, the chef brought out our salads, which I thought was so complementary, considering how particular we were until he looked at us and said he would appreciate it if we wouldn’t talk “sh*t” to his servers. There was a big miscommunication with the service and chef/owner and it made us feel uncomfortable. I think it’s very poor judgment to go out and consult long term clients that not only eat at your restaurant on a regular basis but refer their clients to your restaurant on a regular basis. What is sad, is that this little review probably means nothing because “The Gafford” is already such a well-established restaurant. Unfortunately, with more experiences like mine, it won’t be the one gem in the town that everyone goes to. Stuart is growing so much and restaurants are popping up left and right. There will be many more to come and only the best will survive."
