"One would think that a grilled cheese is...well, a grilled cheese. Today I stand corrected! Often places like this, which try to make 50 different variations on a single theme, end up being a bit nasty. The experimentation to find the most ridiculous combination usually results in a bunch of dishes which are as disgusting as the menu items are outrageous. Not so at this joint! We tried a huge subset of the menu, and each and every item was even better than the last! The staff were hilarious, personable, and engaging. Can't say that my expectations were very high when my wife picked this spot on a trip between New York and Vermont, but I stand corrected...I guess she truly IS always right!"

"It was a really delicious meal; but we were disappointed in NOT being in the main dining room even though we had reserved a week earlier. One of my guests felt that we were stuck in the side room which was not the best. The waitress was sort of on task; but not really and the busboy actually over attended to the water glasses to the point that it was annoying. Surprised that a place that has been in business this long doesn 't have excellent service and well trained wait staff...."

"I absolutely love this restaurant! I sampled various dishes, and each one was delightful. The momos are fantastic, and I think the chicken is my favorite. The sizzling seafood was excellent, and I really enjoyed the lamb in spinach sauce. The ambiance is lovely, and the service is very attentive, making this one of the top dining spots in Yorktown. If you're concerned about the spiciness, just ask the servers—they're more than happy to adjust the heat level for you."

"I have dined at this restaurant several times before and always experienced exceptional service. However, my most recent visit was disappointing. Despite placing our drink and food orders promptly, it took 15 minutes to receive our wine and 30 minutes to get a cheese platter. I even had to ask multiple times for the cheese platter, which should have been a simple task. Unfortunately, our server did not check on us regularly, even though we were seated in a central location where she passed by us frequently. The quality of the food was still great, but the service this time was below par."

"I've been to Hudson Valley Steakhouse for both Happy Hour at the bar and for dinner. The food menu at the bar is limited but great selection. I tried something recommended by a friend, carrot chips. I don't know what I was expecting but these wereamazing! So much so, I didn't want to share. I even order them for dinner though they are not on the dinner menu. Other favesare Applewood Smoked Bacon app, Wedge Salad, Tomahawk Steak for 2 and HV potatoes. Friends tell me the seafood apps are alsogood. I'm allergic to shellfish so did not try any. It's on the pricey side but worth every penny. I suggest going for specialoccasions or date night. The staff is friendly, attentive and accomodating."
