"Someone goes to a DINER, and expect GRADE A STEAK?!?!? It 's a DINER. Saying that, I eat regularly at Nations. While I 've always enjoyed it (for my VERY early breakfast), there have been staff changes recently, and it does seem Nation 's is in a bit of flux. I 've NO connection with Nations, but, the staff have ALWAYS been exceedingly nice as has the owner, Mike. I don 't know why Jason and others grumble about this place and other businesses here being 'unfriendly. ' Nation 's is NOT unfriendly. His whole bizarre 'racist ' rant do you really think a bunch of Mexican waiters who clientele is made up of not only NYC 'ers, but, the UN 's staff is/can afford to be 'racist '?!?! In fact, while your reviews only help those of us who live and patronize places regularly and DON 'T want frakkin ' tourists, it hurts the business. The only thing I can say, is that this is New York City NOT a small town. Things DO move much faster, and our brusqueness is how we ALL operate. A LOT of tourists seem to be under the (mistaken) impression that this city OUR home is a cross between Disneylnd, and TGIF, and everything should be kid friendly, and running nice slow, cheerily welcoming, and all that. It 's NOT. IF you are here on a visit, and you understand that, you will do MUCH better. Wherever you go."

We had excellent American breakfasts with my leaf back in 2009. I would go back again tomorrow.

This is a wonderful spot to enjoy an authentic New York breakfast, featuring delicious bagels and coffee.

This is a place for elderly people. All the food is cooked to mush, has zero flavor, and is served with a pickle and side of coleslaw.

Traditional greek nyc diner here. Family run and great food! Its not cheap eats but for the area it's fairly priced. They make great club sandwiches and shakes. View menu

The broccoli cheddar soup is awful. It shouldn't even be on their menu thats how awful it is. Ive never had such awful broccoli cheddar soup before like they threw sink water and broccoli in a cup.

This has become my favorite spot for Saturday and Sunday morning brunch after a night of partying. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the service is friendly and prompt. The food is just what you’d expect, but it's all nicely prepared. Be sure to indulge in the coffee and cheesecake; they’re not to be missed!

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
