"The atmosphere is relaxed, right by the water, and it’s an outdoor setting. The dishes are served on paper plates, which adds to the casual vibe. Prices are a bit steep, but that’s to be expected with seafood in Florida; it seems they might charge a little extra so the government can collect more tax (especially since there’s no income tax here). Everyone I interacted with was friendly. My only complaint was the difficulty of leaving the parking lot, as the two-lane road made it a bit of a challenge. Overall, I highly recommend giving this place a try!"

Great food! Had the lightly blackened grouper tacos. Fantastic!! The waitress was a young girl. Sorry forgot her name. She was very sweet and knowledgeable of the menu.

Lisa, the owner, was our server. She was so helpful as this was our first visit and we knew nothing about the menu. The atmosphere was pleasant, casual and relaxing. The band Red Hot Rooster was amazing. The food was excellent. We loved this place and will definitely return. Thank you. Lisa! View menu

My friends highly recommended this restaurant, and we found it to be excellent. The ambiance was cozy, and the authentic food made it difficult for me to settle for just one meal! The menu features a wide selection of daily specials. Our waitress was fantastic and made sure to check on us frequently. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!

The frog legs here are the best, and it's such a fun spot to check out! This old Florida restaurant really stands out. With great music and a fantastic menu featuring dishes like mullet fish spread and shrimp/oyster po'boys, everything is incredibly fresh. The staff is wonderful, too. It's definitely a must-visit whenever we're in Matlacha!

Jim and I had a late lunch at Olde Fish House Marina yesterday. We shared an order of Sweet Chili grilled shrimp and an order of grouper fish tacos, both delicious! Oh by the way we were also here Sunday August 27th to listen to a blues band, we had the same food...so good we had to come back for more! We have sampled other dishes as well, usually grouper or red snapper both our favorites. View menu

The best fish sandwich and fish dip I've ever had! I've been coming here for years—this review is long overdue. Every visit has been consistently fantastic, from the food to the staff, and even the entertainment featuring live music and birds. There’s something truly unique and organically therapeutic about The Olde Fish House that feels deeply restorative for the soul. This place is a must-visit if you're in the area!

Stayed in Matlacha for 4 days. Had lunch twice at your wonderful, fun, friendly place. Love everything about it ! ESPECIALLY THE FOOD! Most amazing fish taco's I have ever had ...ever! Tortilla was grilled to perfection , the fish was super fresh and fresh mango added to the bliss! Your cole slaw is also to die for. (Well not literally) To top it off we ate our meal with a light rain for atmosphere and Oscar the heron as our companion Thanks for 2 great meals

"Honestly, tonight was such a disappointment. In times like these, we try to support small businesses when we do go out and when we do go out, we want to have a great meal and great service. We are locals and live on the island and eat here quite often both dine in and take out. Tonight, the food was 3/5 stars and the service was 0/5 stars. It was truly disappointing! We ordered calamari no longer fresh, it is frozen rings and terrible flavor. It used to be great big rings and baked to a golden brown ours were small, not sure you can even call them rings and the breading was white. Extremely fishy. Our pizzas were okay, good flavor but no longer the good thin crust. Wings were great per usual. Where the big problem was, was the service. We were the only people in the dining room and I’m not sure if they forgot that or what but we waited to be seen, our drinks sat empty on multiple occasions (and were refilled with flat soda when we asked the girl about it, she said the root beer machine was “broken” . The conversations we heard from the staff was alarming (who’s dating who, who’s sleeping with who, and who’s bringing what drugs to the party after work . We thought the conversations were enough, but nope, someone in the kitchen was BELCHING!!! While we were eating, at a table, in THEIR restaurant. How appetizing! It was awful ambiance. Waited 15 minutes to have the food boxed and get check once we got the check, took the girl 10 minutes to come back and ring the card. And mind you, it was not busy. We heard walk in customers come in telling them that their phone was “busy” when trying to call in to place a Togo order….. one of the kids in the kitchen said “they are manning two phone lines and doing the best we can.” Let me remind you, it was not busy. We have been here before when it’s busy… tonight was not it. Not sure if it is the new owners or an off night, but it will be hard to go back. Especially when going out is a treat for us. This was far from a treat."
