"Although the prices are on the higher side, both the food and service are exceptional. For appetizers, we tried large button mushrooms stuffed with veal and seasoned to perfection with rosemary and thyme, all in a creamy tomato sauce that was great for dipping our fresh garlic bread. We also sampled baby clams in a creamy sauce; I'm not usually a fan of shellfish, but the sauce was delightful! Each week, the chef at The Oar House crafts a special menu that constantly changes. I chose the sole along with garlic mashed potatoes and a perfectly cooked vegetable medley from the "Chef's Choice" selections. The fish was cooked flawlessly, accompanied by a fresh and delicious side salad. Duane opted for a simple bowl of lobster bisque, describing it as rich with multiple layers of flavor—his favorite yet, a lovely blend of lobster bisque and roasted pepper soup that truly resonated with him. This restaurant is definitely going to become one of our favorites! We were even invited to return for lunch, as they offer a slightly different menu. The dress code is business casual, and the cost was around $50 per person, including drinks and appetizers. The menu is posted below. The Oar House."

"We absolutely adore this restaurant. The ambiance truly embodies everything about Texas. We feel like we are in a luxurious yet laid back setting. The dress code ranges from elegant dresses to cowboy boots and jeans. I usually stick to wine, so I can't speak to the quality of the cocktails. The steaks are delicious, as are the garlic mashed potatoes, salad, and bread (although the bread could use a bit more salt in the yeast). There is live music on the weekends, either from a band or solo artist, which adds to the enjoyable experience. I highly recommend trying it out. It's a fantastic place to unwind and relax for an evening. If you're coming from out of town, there is a hotel within walking distance, as well as a movie theatre, shopping, and Lake Ray Hubbard."

"We took our time and ordered a few courses, beginning with the 50/50 meatballs and the Z House salad. The meatballs were outstanding—tender and bursting with flavor, easily among the best I've ever had! However, I was slightly disappointed with the Z House salad. Given that it’s advertised as a restaurant specialty, it lacked excitement and could have benefited from a touch of sweetness to give it more flair. Next, we tried the braised ravioli, which was fantastic. The ravioli was cooked perfectly al dente, and the pomodoro sauce was the highlight of the meal—it was absolutely delicious. We also had the New York white pie, which was really good—not too thick or flimsy, just right. For dessert, we ordered espresso martinis and bananas foster. The bananas foster was rich and gooey, and I enjoyed it, although my dining companion thought it was a bit overpowering. As for the espresso martinis, they could have used a bit more espresso; they tasted a bit too sweet due to the excess Kahlua. The restaurant itself is charming and beautifully decorated, and the restrooms were clean. I would definitely return to try more dishes, as I had a great time overall. Despite a few minor issues, the experience was quite positive."

"Samee and Cameron are top notch! And this filters down all the way to their employees and food. They provide great quality food, amazing service, and whenever something isn’t right they make sure they go above and beyond to make it right. We can’t thank them enough and we will be life long customers ! Tonight my daughter’s pizza came out very very crispy to the point she couldn’t eat it. This is the first time we’ve ever experienced a “issue” with our order over the years…. Within 30 mins Cameron had a fresh one plus dessert waiting at our door. When I called to try to tip the second driver that had to make the run he refused and said I’ll tip her myself, it was our mistake and I’ll make sure she’s taken care of. This is extreme ownership at its finest!!!! And Samee you must be so proud of Cameron — he’s carrying on your legacy perfectly! And thank you again Cameron for saving the night !!!"

"We had a nice indoor dining experience with Fireside Chicken and Tacos. A clean welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. We ordered for our children two three piece Chicken Finger baskets with a side of potatoes that was delicious. The kid's chicken quesadilla was about the size of a taco and could be handled well by my 5 year old. My husband ordered a street combo platter with steak and grilled chicken. It has a side of beans, rice and warm soft tortillas. I ordered the fish tacos that tasted great with the vegetables and a sprit of lime to bring out all the natural flavorings. I did like the hot chips and salsa for the table. The green pepper sauce is a bit spicy. Overall, we enjoyed the evening and would recommend for a large family to be able to find something on the menu to enjoy."
