"Although the prices are on the higher side, both the food and service are exceptional. For appetizers, we tried large button mushrooms stuffed with veal and seasoned to perfection with rosemary and thyme, all in a creamy tomato sauce that was great for dipping our fresh garlic bread. We also sampled baby clams in a creamy sauce; I'm not usually a fan of shellfish, but the sauce was delightful! Each week, the chef at The Oar House crafts a special menu that constantly changes. I chose the sole along with garlic mashed potatoes and a perfectly cooked vegetable medley from the "Chef's Choice" selections. The fish was cooked flawlessly, accompanied by a fresh and delicious side salad. Duane opted for a simple bowl of lobster bisque, describing it as rich with multiple layers of flavor—his favorite yet, a lovely blend of lobster bisque and roasted pepper soup that truly resonated with him. This restaurant is definitely going to become one of our favorites! We were even invited to return for lunch, as they offer a slightly different menu. The dress code is business casual, and the cost was around $50 per person, including drinks and appetizers. The menu is posted below. The Oar House."

Oar House is a hidden gem on the shores of Lake Ray Hubbard and I-30. Great food and cozy, good place for a business lunch or family dinner!

The filet with peppercorn sauce is absolutely fantastic. My wife ordered the pasta, and it was equally delicious. I've had the pork chop on a previous visit, and that was great as well. I've never had a bad meal here; we always choose this place for special occasions.

The experience was just okay. While the service was quite good, the food was rather average. Two members of our group ordered the chicken parmigiana, which was a generous portion but could have benefited from some vegetables instead of just a large serving of pasta. My veal with mushroom peppercorn sauce was tasty but on the salty side. Our other companion had the chicken topped with asparagus, but didn't have any feedback to share.

"I FINALLY was able to come here for dinner because of the fact that they are always busy when I come and they try to seat reservations as quickly as possible. This isn't a con, it's just a testament to how good they are (but it can be a con if yourstomach is eating it's insides ???? . When we were seated we had a couple of cocktails a Dirty Martini and an Old Fashionedand they were well made. We took our time to have a few courses. We started with the 50/50 Meatballs and then the Z House Salad. The meatballs were so delicious, tender and full of flavor some of the best I've ever had! The Z House Salad on the other handwas a bit of a disappointment. For the salad to be a restaurant special it wasn't a wow and could've used a sweet kick to it toadd that pow it needed. We had the Lobster Ravioli next and it was amazing. The ravioli was cooked perfectly al dente and thePomtom sauce was to die for this was the best part of the meal. We also had the New York White Pie and it was really good, nottoo over done or flimsy (if that makes sense . For dessert we had Espresso Martinis and the Bananas Foster. The Bananas Fosterwas really soft and gooey and I liked it (granted the other person with me didn't enjoy it as much as I did because she felt thebanana was too overpowering . The Espresso Martinis could've had more espresso in them because it did taste too sweet, like ithad too much Kahlua. The restaurant itself was really cute, nicely decorated. The restrooms were clean as well. I woulddefinitely go back to try a few other dishes because I had a good time and except for a few small cons, they were overall reallygood."
