"One of the worse experiences ever. A LOW class staff experience today. A group of 24 women met for our monthly lunch. Crave was every other month. We said 21 for lunch but ended up with 24. We needed an extra table but there was not a server around. There was 2 tables, no chairs next to us so someone moved a table while another went to inform staff of our need. The table was not handled by our server but another young lady. She went ballistic and irate. We did offer to pay her her tips for her table by the way. Since things went down from there the waitress, and I call her that against my better judgement then complained and she came and stated that the ladies could all leave per management. After that statement someone came and we were told that only one lady had to leave. This was because she took the waitress picture. Waitress complained that she was cursed at, which never happened. The staff then called the police to have the one lady removed the one that took the picture. By the way, she took the picture because of the way the waitress disrespected and addressed me. I happen to be 75 years old. She was telling the waitress that that was no way to speak to someone older. Our friend was escorted out by a police officer. Some of us left as a result. NEVER to return. Please think twice about supporting a business with such sad employee practices. I know I will."

"Charlies is an amazing spot for food! We were staying at St.Bernard State Park and decided to stop into Charlie's. Needless to say we ended up having three meals here lol The food was absolutely delicious and the catfish strips were out of this world! Our waitresses were absolutely lovely and had great attitudes and were a pleasure to be around. I absolutely recommend everyone to try this place, and if you get the mac and cheese, which you definitely should, make sure you get the gravy to go with it! I know it sounds strange at first but trust me, it's life changing! The omelet was amazing in both flavor and size, I only ended up eating half because I got so full, but it is definitely an amazing breakfast!"

"I really don't like to leave reviews that aren't four or five stars. I just have to do this today. I went there for the first time. Locals have mentioned it in the past. But I think you have to be a local to be treated properly. It's as though they don'treally care. I'm tired of that everywhere. Did not expect it from a locally owned little restaurant. It was disappointing; thefood, the service and certainly customer service from the owner herself. It made me sad. Not mad... just sad. Reply: Not sureif the responder received my reply. But yes I did talk to the owner directly directly. That's why we were all disappointed. Theowner of a restaurant should care more than anyone. We didn't get that."

"The waiter asked my friend what he wanted for an appetizer, but he ignored me as if I was not sitting at the table. I noticed a customer had forgotten her purse on the back of her chair, so I immediately got the purse to a manager, and the manager later told me that the lady came back to retrieve her purse, but I didn't receive at least a thank you. I will not be eating at this restaurant ever again!! Some of these people are ignorant racist in St. Bernard Parish!! Nothing has seemed to change there in 40-plus years. I am glad I moved to Texas!! Black voters still don't have any political leadership or corporate leaders in this community."
