"I visted this establishment for lunch on yesterday. Upon walking into the shop I was greeted by a wonderful smell and colorful cakes. The shop is pretty small so I wouldn't recommend it for large groups. The menu is pretty confusing but they have daily specials listed so I asked to order the doobie 35 as it was the special for the day. I do not eat pork and every single sandwich on the menu had a form of pork except the turkey burger which I wasn't in the mood for. They accommodated my request and made my delicious turkey sandwich on chibatta bread with lettuce, tomatoe, and a nice flavorful. I also had chips and a drink that came with my meal. There isn't a variety of chips just plain lays and bottled sodas and water. I just wished there was juice. Overall I enjoyed Q's cakes im not really a sweet treat lover but it appears alot of people came in only for sweets !"

I highly recommend this place! Mrs. Q's customer service is exceptional; she goes above and beyond to ensure you get everything you need. Her cakes are incredibly moist and bursting with flavor.

This was my first visit, and I have to say the red velvet cake is fantastic! It's incredibly moist and light. The strawberry brownie was a hit with me too! I rarely visit Albany, but now I have a great reason to come back! View menu

My friend told me about Q's Cake and I ordered a birthday cake for my Mom's 80th birthday dinner and all I can say is that she is the real thing. The cake was moist and it melts in you mouth from the first day until we finished it which was 3 days later. Please check her out you will not regret it.

I ordered a veggie melt with a stuffed avacado. And when I tell you I could have slapped my mother, your mother, Q’s mother, the adopted mothers and all the surrogate mothers around the globe. Baby I need a cooking class, this was so good.I was and am extremely satisfied with the food and my service

New in town and wanted homemade baked goods.First time trying and are very disappointed. We used the vending machine outside to purchase Key Lime Red Velvet cake slices. We could not taste cream cheese in the frosting nor that hint of cocoa in the Red Velvet. Key Lime tasted like a lemon cake mix.Hopefully…just maybe this is not the norm. I will try again and update my post afterwards. View menu

To the people giving this place one stars for flavor..? They’re crazy. We went to the vending machine because they were closed unfortunately. And…. It was still amazing, the red velvet cake was great the cream cheese icing was fantastic. But… this Banana pudding cake dear Goodness… I think I’m gonna drive back to get another piece. Please give her a shot. It’s very good even if you have to go to the vending machine.

Did you see that CRUNCHY TOP on the pound cake?! It's not easy to achieve, but it's highly sought after! You can tell a lot about a baker when they elevate such a humble cake to extraordinary levels, and Q certainly did that – from SCRATCH! It has a classic feel and homemade taste, made with REAL BUTTER, not shortening, and real vanilla, not just flavoring. It's MOIST and simple, yet beyond reproach. The flavors are pure and clean, with none of that commercial or artificial taste – truly old school and genuinely delicious! The veggie melt features fresh vegetables with a smashed black bean patty, cooked to perfection! It’s not heavy but incredibly filling and fresh. I'm so glad I stopped by!

"We had requested the rounded corner booth in the main dining room and arrived 20 minutes early, planning to enjoy a cocktail at the bar. But instead, we were seated at a booth right next to our preferred one. A couple finished their meal shortly after we sat down, well before our 6:30 reservation. We ordered a Beefeater gin and tonic and a very dry Beefeater martini. Both drinks had an unusual, perfume-like scent that was quite off-putting. My wife sent her drink back, and I decided to switch to a Bombay martini, but the same strange floral fragrance persisted. I regularly enjoy Beefeater and Bombay dry martinis and have never experienced this odd aftertaste before. For my main course, the Duck and Porcini confit ragu had hardly any duck in it. There were only a few shreds of duck meat hidden in the tagliatelle, but no substantial pieces. My wife’s Pesto and Shrimp dish arrived swimming in a broth. While this might be a traditional way to serve it, there was no mention of broth on the menu. She had expected the pesto to be coated on the pasta and oily, rather than soupy. As much as we have loved Capriccio over the past three decades, this experience was disappointing. We didn't even stay for dessert. We'll certainly return, but I hope to avoid writing another negative review. I usually don’t share my thoughts unless absolutely necessary, but I felt compelled to do so this time."
