"I called ahead and asked if they had seating available and if we needed reservations or anything but to be seated. The hostess/bar tender said they had plenty of seating inside and outside available. We took the expensive and surged uber to the location and THEN when we arrived were told us that you can only get in with a picture of your vaccination card, your actual card (who would bring a valuable item like that to a bar…? or a NYC specific app. All of us were vaccinated but 2 of our party did not bring their cards because they are out of state and she did not specify that need before (when we called her on the phone literally like 20 minutes before we got there to ask the questions mentioned above . We wasted 30 minutes of our time and money coming here when we literally called ahead to check it we could be seated there. Will go elsewhere next time.It looked cute, but we do not know about the actual bar because of their failure to communicate when we called beforehand, which is a waste of our time in the city."

Great neighborhood bar with something for everyone. Fantastic cocktail menu with a diverse wine and beer selection as well. Back patio is perfect for sunny days. View menu

So relieved to see this survived Covid. Was a regular when visiting over the last decade. Drinks are excellent, great feel to the place (even on quiet nights), prices reasonable, great music. Just what a neighborhood bar should be.

Wonderful cocktails, and carefully chosen wines and beers. It just has such a nice atmosphere special, but accessible and comfortable. It's the kind of place that reminds us how lucky we are to live nearby. Also: fun trivia night...

I absolutely adore this bar! After moving to the neighborhood a few months ago, it quickly became my go-to spot. The cocktails here are top-notch, possibly the best in the neighborhood, and the bartender is incredibly friendly. The charming backyard is a wonderful bonus, especially during these challenging times with COVID. I highly recommend this place. View menu

Great atmosphere and music. Orange wine was different than others I have had. The Bartender was really chill and easygoing and offered to make me a wine cocktail so I could sweeten it up. Cozy seating and dim lighting are nice too. Prices are very reasonable. For some reason, this place got mixed up with a cake place in maps but they do not sell decorative cakes.

I walked past this place a billion times before my friend dragged me here under the pretense that the cocktails are really good. From the outside, it 's definitely walk pastable but what a hidden gem. The vibe is dark and cozy, classic, unpretentious, and the bartender is welcoming and knowledgeable. The interior is unexpectedly spacious while the back yard is frankly huge and magical. For cocktails, we got The Viceroy and Alice 's Mallet. Both gin cocktails, Alice was the just as expected tart and fresh gin elixir but woah wasn 't prepared for the greatness of The Viceroy. One of the best cocktails I 've had it 's a gin and curry cocktail. Yes, curry. You just have to try it (please keep it...

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
