"We celebrated my sister’s 83rd birthday at Ricardo’s on June 19, 2024. It was excellent. We’ve had very interesting appetizers: meatballs stuffed with ricotta cheese, shrimp cooked in a limocello reduction and sun-dried tomatoes, and the portobello mushroom. We shared those among the six of us and enjoyed all of them. My sister and I both ordered the lasagna because we just wanted something homey. It was so delicious. My niece ordered the mushroom risotto, and because she has special dietary restrictions, the waitstaff made very certain that there was nothing provided to her that she could not eat. When our server discovered there was something in an appetizer that would trigger her allergies, he came to the table and explained that she could not have that dish. That was so thoughtful. At the end, they surprised my sister with a tiramisu happy birthday cake. It was a delightful evening. I would recommend Ricardo‘s to anyone who wants an authentic Italian North End experience in Boston. "

The bolognese and chicken parmesan were absolutely delicious. Our server, Tommy, was extremely attentive and on top of everything.

Great eggplant and great veal. Good recommendation by the staff on the wine. Easy to make reservations. Easy walk from the Financial district. Really enjoyed it!! Thank you!!

Great food, the portions were very large, we were a group of 4 and none of us were able to complete our plates! The service was fantastic… I would definately recommend this restaurant! View menu

Riccardo’s was one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever eaten at. Loved the family atmosphere, our waiter was fantastic. Everything we ate from the bread to the salads to the main courses could not have been more delicious!!

Very friendly and attentive service. I ordered the Orecchiette and Broccoli Rabe dish with Italian Sausage, I think it was a ground beef patty that they broke up and distributed In dish. My husband had the lobster ravioli that he enjoyed

We had a great meal and experience at Riccardo's. This family-owned gem in the North End was highly rated and it did not disappoint. Teddy provided excellent service and we loved the entrees and wine. Will definitely go to Riccardo's again the next time we are in Boston! View menu

The dishes were delicious. Service needed some improvement- ordered appetizers that never arrived before our main entree. Requested Parmesan cheese for a pasta dish was finally delivered after the plate was finished. And that was after requesting it well before that. I would try it again though realizing they may have been short staffed.

Overall a good experience. We arrived 20 min early staff accommodated us. The food was plentiful presented well. Some of our plates lacked flavor while others were very good. Our calamari appetizers were very tasty but overly salted. It’s tight quarters but friendly. I will say I was disappointed on some levels of service. Our waiter while telling us daily special was at same time cleaning table next to us, at times straining to hear what he was saying. When we got up to leave we had 2 waiters clearing our plates leaving us no room to move or leave. I’m all about getting tables ready for next party but give us a minute to leave. We by no means lingered. Asked for check as soon as we finished...

"No soup/sandwich shop compares in terms of price per quality, portion size, and different options in the area. I only started ordering from here about 2 weeks ago and I’ve now had 7 different kinds of soups and 4 different kinds of sandwiches after the first order I started ordering two soups and a sandwich aka a soup to save for later because they’re just that good, every one of them. Price is so very reasonable and depending on which combo you get you can make out with a full sized sandwich and large sized homemade soup for $14.While it’s hard to recommend one thing over another in this circumstance since it’s all been great in their own ways, the Chicken Chowder is something I plan on getting a quart of next time it’s available. The Chicken Barley and Chicken Lemon Rice are ones I plan on getting quarts of in the future as well, and that’s not to discount the Chicken Noodle, Beef and Veg Noodle Stew, French Onion, and the current seasonal Chilled Gazpacha (which I probably wouldn’t have even tried it wasn’t from these guys . It’s all top quality. The Chicken Tarragon sandwich is my favorite in terms of sandwiches although it can’t combo with a soup as of now (please let us! . The best cheap soup combo sandwich is a tossup between the Cilantro Tuna and Ciabatta Sandwich, which are both incredible in their own ways. The only few drawbacks to this place are they don’t have every soup they make every day, are only open until 4PM, and aren’t open on the weekends. That said it’s worth it to plan accordingly for this. I never review anything but this place is worth it it’s the best if you’re a soup and sandwich person like I am."
