"I feel like I don 't have the words to adequately describe the experience of dining at Blue Hill, but as far as I am concerned, if you are passionate about food, you must go. The setting is lovely and the service is extraordinary, but it is the quality of the food itself and the creativity of the menu that is awesomely exquisite. Everyone connected with Blue Hill is committed to excellence and it shows in every aspect of the evening. There is no menu, so don 't expect one but be willing to tell your servers what you like/don 't like, will eat/won 't eat. They will ask. Then they will begin to serve you from their seasonal selections. The wine list is incredibly comprehensive and the speciality cocktails are wonderfully innovative as well as delicious. Not surprisingly, the restaurant is astronomically expensive and so if you are new to the restaurant, you should be prepared. The staff are messianic in their approach to food and their mission is to educate those who are interested. They are more than happy to explain what you are eating, how it was harvested, where it came from, how it was prepared and to elaborate upon the virtues of Barber Wheat, named after/conceived by the chef, Dan Barber in cooperation with others, I believe. To me, this is not dinner out at a nice restaurant, this is an experience, and it is one that I think needs to be repeated to get the full benefit of all there is to offer. And for those who have heard that you will be fed a single radish, or an asparagus spear, that is correct. It is shocking to have them bring out a service piece that looks like a board with nails sticking up through it on which are perched that individual radish, a baby carrot, an asparagus spear etc. which you are expected to eat and with which you are expected to be satisfied, but the vegetables are delicious and after many, many more offerings, you will be astounded to discover you are sated when you leave."

"The food and service at this restaurant are outstanding, consistently exceeding our expectations. We are always pleasantly surprised by our experiences here. The sushi, particularly the mango-based variations, is delicious. The staff pays great attention to detail, as seen in the pictures from our Christmas dinner, and is very courteous. Hand sanitizer is provided at every table. This is definitely one of our top restaurants in town. We would highly recommend it to anyone in Tarrytown."

"Service wasn’t good. We weren’t gien menus when seated, but other tables seated after us were given menus. We didn’t know who our waiter was as if we were never acknowledged. It took forever to just order drinks. The portions were small and not of good quality. It was as if it was prepared and tasted as if it came out of a cafeteria. Even the ice cream dessert was unappetizing. Our experience was not good whatsoever, and we will not be dining at this restaurant again."

"This was my 2nd time and I loved it even more. Took the whole family for my sister -in -laws birthday. We had the pizza which was out of this world, great crust. gnocchi, ravioli ...everything is so fresh and delicious. John the owner is a real gentleman and knows how to take care of his patrons as well as the server we had that evening. Never felt rushed and was able to just take in the atmosphere and great food. I would highly recommend this restaurant . We look forward to going back."

"This tiny Mexican restaurant may be small, but it serves fantastic food. I ordered a Mexican burger, which came with avocado slices and tasted incredible. It was accompanied by wonderfully crunchy fries, making for a hearty and filling meal. At $14, I felt it was worth the price. The chips and salsa provided at the table were also excellent and helped curb our hunger as we waited. The chips were clearly fresh and had that satisfying crunch that you crave. Our server was very friendly and attentive, which was understandable given the restaurant's size; I would have been concerned if she weren't present in such a tight space. There’s a sink conveniently located near the tables for handwashing, and there’s also a public single restroom at the back behind the kitchen. Overall, this is a fantastic Mexican restaurant. It was my first visit to Tarrytown, but I would definitely return to try something else from their menu."
