"First time here. Came on the suggestion of a friend. Came specifically to check out their all you can eat lunch. Two of us with a coke and green tea was about $42. Really hard to beat that for a sit down lunch. Place is in a strip mall right near Walmart. Clean when you walk in. Booths have dividers in between, staff wears masks and gloves and masks are required to walk in. So if you're concerned with the Covid stuff there you have it. On to the food. We had Odom and miso soup. HOT like burned my mouth hot (usually soup at AUC places is luke warm at best). Soup was flavorful and delicious! Shrimp shumai, gyoza and spring roll appetizers hot flavorful as well. Had several different rolls and pieces. I put names on the pictures below to make it easier to identify. All the raw fish was amazing! Not tough like some but creamy like it should be almost melt in your mouth. The rice was sticky and not dry. I even enjoyed the fried rolls. I'm normally not a fan because they come out like a big piece of tempura with no flavor. This place managed to keep the taste and flavor of the roll with just the right amount of tempura to give it the extra kick and flavor. The sauces on top of the rolls was good too. I am generally a pretty liberal star giver because I take into account where I'm eating and what I'm paying for it. I'd give this place a solid 6 out of 5 stars for the AUC sushi option. It has taken my #1 spot for sushi lunch!"

Came all the way from N. Virginia to celebrate daughter's birthday for some fresh sushi buffet. Our favorite sushi spot. Wish there are more like it. Great customer service and delicious food.

Place is a bit crowded. Tables are small for all you can eat restaurant. Food is okay. Fried foods were a bit greasy especially the tempuras. Good customer service. I might be back just because their service is better than kagura.

Omg, this place is so good! The sushi is so fresh and perfect! Staff are so friendly and let me feel very welcome every time. The Sakura didaki and the whole Sushi and Sashimi was amazing! I ask anyone who loves Sushi to check this place!

We love the sushi here, and it is so worth the price. In fact, it’s the only place in Chesapeake we will eat sushi, anymore. The rolls on the all-you-can-eat menu are smaller than normal so you can order a larger variety and try new things. The people are friendly, you never have to wait for food and the waitress we had tonight, Erika, was as sweet and happy, as can be! This place is the best. View menu

I got the lunch sushi box #2, you pick 2 rolls and it comes w/ a soup salad...the ?2? roll are not full rolls at all. The ?salad? was a side of lettuce literally nothing else no veggie on top or anything. The soup was your usual miso soup so can?t complain there but all in all it wasn?t a waste of money. It was around $20 bc I got the Volcano roll which was $3 more and can with less pieces(4) and my dynamite came w/ (6). I would NOT recommend this place.

The all-you-can-eat sushi is priced at $26.95 per person, and it’s definitely worth it. The sushi is fresh, and the dishes from the kitchen arrive quickly and hot. I'm pretty sure there's been a change in management since my last visit over three years ago, which left me underwhelmed. The current owners seem to genuinely care about service, as they check in with every table. The chefs focus on quality, from the rice to the fish and the presentation. I was truly impressed and satisfied. This will now be my go-to spot for sushi!

This was our first time here, and they treated us like lifelong customers. I was so happy with my experience that I’m in my car right after eating to write this review. Every staff member was so friendly, not to mention the food was delicious! If you are looking for a warm, welcoming environment, this is the perfect restaurant.Kid-friendliness: This restaurant was by far the nicest and friendliest service ever. They made sure everyone’s drinks were full and plates were taken off the table. Amazing and friendly people.Parking: The parking lot was huge plenty of parking View menu

This was my first time having lunch at this restaurant, and I loved every bite. The all-you-can-eat offering was fantastic. I tried the tuna hand roll for the first time, and it was so delicious that I ended up ordering two more. I also had a spicy salmon hand roll, which was equally impressive. In the picture, you'll notice two Japanese spring rolls that were quite tasty, along with a refreshing house salad. I appreciate that the lunch price remains the same throughout the week, which is a nice touch. I'm planning to return this Sunday since they open at 11:00. I highly recommend this place for its excellent sushi, friendly staff, and great service!

One of the main reasons I decided to give it a try was the numerous positive comments about the friendly staff, and they were absolutely right—everyone I encountered was genuinely nice. The decor was thoughtfully done and reminded me of the small sushi restaurants I frequented while in Japan. I opted for the all-you-can-eat lunch menu, which, while not vast in terms of raw fish options, offered a decent variety. The available raw fish included salmon, tuna, and red snapper. I made the most of my experience by trying the salmon, tuna, spicy salmon, and spicy tuna, alongside the red snapper nigiri, which was quite tasty. I also sampled several rolls, all of which were very good. Some reviews...

"If I could give this place a 1.5 rating, I would. It was Thanksgiving and we had reservations. We are a party of 5 and were seated in a corner booth clearly too small for all of us. I asked the hostess if we could move but she said “no, there are other reservations and this is all we have.” Meanwhile, there are plenty of other tables open. After asking 2 more times, we were moved to a larger booth and made to feel uncomfortable with the body language. Oh yes and we were also told that there were on 2 thanksgiving dinners left. Our server was clearly way too busy with other tables. He checked in and took our order, but the attention could have been more. Especially since there were 5 of us. Very frustrating. We ordered some mussels for appetizer. The mussels were not cooked fully and many of them were not open and very slimy/raw still. My 13 year old son deeply cut his finger trying to open one of them and had to excuse himself to the bathroom to clean the blood off his hands and clean his shirt. Not necessarily a great start to dinner. The mussels were sent back and after waiting 45 minutes, they were prepared properly. We all ordered our food, including my order of the 40 ounce ribeye. The ribeye was very chewy and not necessarily tasteful either. The side dishes were cold and we rarely saw our waiter to complain. By then, we wanted to just eat and get out of there. I didn’t want to cause a scene in front of my family especially on thanksgiving. When our check came, an automatic 20% tip was added. This was a very expensive meal for 5 people and I feel as if I could have gotten a lot better somewhere else. Very disappointed all around. This place is overpriced and overrated."
