"The pizza i got was extremly salty and fell apart right when i picked up a slice. The crust was so thin that it could have been non-exsitent, and even after adding marinara sauce to it to try and cut back on how salty it was, it did nothing. It was still as salty as before and completly made the taste of the marinara sauce dissapear. Also one of the cheese was metled so much that it could have been a drink while the other cheese did not seem to melt at all and was in clumps on the so called pizza and ended up weighing it down and soggy and not enjoyable to eat at all. Over all 0 out of 10 would NOT recommed for pizza."

Ordered the burger and a pizza. The food didn't taste fresh and the flavouring was off.

I'm not sure if this qualifies as a hidden UES gem, or just a gem that stands out, but the food at San Matteo View menu

We went there on a Saturday evening. Very nice staff, delicious pizzas ! A family place obviously, which was nice. The tiramisu is homemade, no doubt, and really good. Nutella pizza for those who are not afraid !

Love the servers here, super friendly and informative. Ordered a pizza and two pasta dishes everything was flavorful and presented well. Had an amazing truffle pasta the last time I was here, unfortunately it?s out of season rn. But I will be coming back for it again!

I tried 2 pizzas, de Luca, prosciutto and mozzarella and tiramisù espresso. The pizza dough was good, light and soft. Ingredients were fresh and flavorful. About the tiramisù, for my opinion, I would have preferred a few more savoiardi and less panna . Real Italian espresso. I recommend to try at least once!!! View menu

Nice place, but pizza quality could be improved. It is funny that the waiters pretend to be Italian by saying stereotypical things (mamma Mia! Signore! LOL). Maybe I will go back to try non-pizza things, I have no idea about their quality We had 2 pizzas and one panuozzo dessert with ice cream and we paid around ~70$ (no drinks)

Ordered two margheritas through postmates. Top photo is the regular magherita and the bottom is the Regina magherita. Tasted like normal thin crust pizza. I expected more basil on both pizzas. We only got two leaves for both pizzas and they weren?t even fresh as advertised. I?m not sure why it has so many high ratings. It may be better in person and with the service?

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
