"This unassuming little restaurant and market was a happy surprise for my partner and I. Their lumpia was crispy and meaty and had a lot of umami. I would order them every time. We also got the oxtail kare-kare which was divine with its silky smooth, creamy, peanutty sauce and giant portions of oxtail. Add the shrimp paste for best results. The other dish we ordered was the dinuguan, which had a rich and tasty umami flavor that went very well on rice. The portion size was smaller than I expected but it was on the richer side and delish nonetheless. I even went to town on their canned meats in the market because I'm a sucker for canned meats. For next time I'm eyeing the lechon and the crispy pata, but I want to try it all! I highly recommend this place for adventurous eaters!Update: after a year+ I still go here every time I'm in SA. I've tried almost everything on the menu and everything is so good. The crispy lechon is flavorful and moist, with a crazy crunchy skin. It's hard to find Filipino restaurants, even in Austin where I live but look no further. This place is authentic and so delish. Go pay them a visit!"

Had a great time with my boo here. The ox tail dish, lumpia, ube horchata, and halo halo are all good here. ??

After walking in with my family, not being greeted at all, we decided to leave. Customer service is very important to me.

Family had special noodles on the shopping list for a year, and while in san Antonio i decided to look for them. Came here, a young man greeted quickly and directed me right to them. Large selection of items, clean store and well priced.

I was here visiting family, and we came here for a few grocery items and ended up staying for lunch. I was absolutely amazed by the variety of items in the sari sari, and the food and service of the bakery and restaurant was extraordinary! Plus an added bonus of a gated eating area with a playground for the kiddos. I wish they had one in south Florida. Thank you for the wonderful atmosphere, great food and friendliness!Kid-friendliness: Gated playground with outside dining. View menu

The place is quite charming, and I found it amusing that you have to walk through a mini supermarket to enter. The ambiance is pleasant. However, if you're not a fan of greasy food, you might run into some issues. Most of the dishes feature pork belly, which can be quite heavy. The dish I tried was rich, and my companion's Kare Kare was similarly substantial. On the bright side, the BBQ sticks were absolutely delicious. Overall, I think it's a restaurant worth experiencing on your own.

I really enjoyed my lunch. Their lumpia were the skinny type, opposite of how my family makes them, but delicious! I got the lechon kiwali (fried pork belly) and got a surprise when there was a light crust on the meat, I've never had it like that, but it disappeared quickly! The pork was the perfect consistency and flavor. My friends both got the chicken adobo which smelled and tasted great. I have had their pancit from the food truck, so was glad to finally visit the restaurant. I'll be back in the near future!

First, the decor of the restaurant was nice, but unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The food was quite bland overall, and the service was just mediocre. The kare-kare was served with large chunks of meat and bones that seemed to have been simply boiled in water, lacking any seasoning aside from a bit of Mama Sita's mix. The lumpia appeared to be frozen, likely from Hmart or Hong Kong, and definitely not made in-house. To make matters worse, the halo halo looked appealing but didn't deliver on flavor. And the soft serve ice cream was particularly disappointing. The only reason I'm giving this place two stars is because of the pork barbecue, which truly saved the meal. View menu

One of my personal favorites is the chicken adobo, which truly shines on the menu. The chicken is marinated in a savory blend of soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, and spices, resulting in a dish that is not only comforting but also bursting with flavor. Each bite is a wonderful combination of savory goodness that keeps you coming back for more. However, the delights at Sari-Sari go well beyond just one dish. The diverse menu features an array of options, from crispy pork belly to rich kare-kare, ensuring there’s something to satisfy every palate. Additionally, the market and bakery allow you to pick up authentic Filipino ingredients and freshly baked goodies to enjoy at home. Whether you're a se...

My husband and I went to the new location in Westover Hills and loved it, but that shut down so we decided to try this original location and market. The hostess seemed irritated that we showed up, and then we were effectively ignored by our waitress the entire time. When we asked for to-go boxes and she just threw them on the table and walked away. It was hard to get ahold of anyone when we needed extra napkins/water/etc. The dishes we got were a bit too fatty and heavy for my personal taste, but the main issue was the rude attitude from the hostess and our server. It was pretty weird because the service at the other location was good. There seemed to be one waiter that was actually attentiv...
