This restaurant is the best spot for delicious food and great beer! Jamison, Roger, and Krista are incredibly friendly and welcoming owners who make sure you have a wonderful experience every time you visit.

Looking for an off the beaten path, then this is the place. Turn left of the wild turkey. Get a cold beer! Try honey Porter! It's also available in cans. Try a pepperoni roll, hamburger, or a pulled pork sandwich.

It was a bit off the beaten path but we'll worth it. Good variety of great beer. Service was friendly and fast. They're more technologically advanced than any other place I've been. You order beers on their app and it's delivered to your table, typically in under 2 minutes.

The drive in is part of the experience. Not in a developed area for sure. Best staff we have encountered in a long time. The pretzel roll appetizers were outstanding. Wow! What a delightful experience! Roger Johnson was more than hospitable. We ventured by this quaint location on an off day (not Friday or Saturday) but Roger not only opened the business but more importantly he shared his warm acceptance and engaging conversation. If you are ever around northern West Virginia (near Morgantown) on a weekend visiting The Screech Owl is a must. Top notch hospitality!

My wife told me to turn around more than once. But the Google Lady kept saying no this is the right way, and it's a great place The Google Lady was right. The place is not on the beaten path but is well worth the drive. Friendly, clean, good food, and cold beer. Masks are required. All the staff were wearing them ... always. And they took our temps at the door. Seemed to really care about their customers. Can't say enough good about this place tucked deep in the woods of Preston County. We will be back.

This restaurant is one of the best breweries I have ever been to! Nestled in the hills of West Virginia, it is truly a hidden gem. The beer was fantastic, the food was delicious, and the owners, staff, and other customers were very friendly. I loved how they would come over to chat with us and spark interesting conversations. When they found out I was from Sri Lanka, they even had me sign their guestbook, likely making me the first Sri Lankan to visit. We wanted to return, but unfortunately they were closed due to Covid.
