"My mum and I came here for dinner with our Korean tour group. The tour agency, USA Tours, has a relationship with this restaurant and often brings its clients here. It is located on the second floor of the Waikiki Resort Hotel, which apparently is owned by Korean Airlines. Our tour guide had called them before our arrival so we were immediately seated at two 4-top tables (we were a group of 8 for dinner . Stew was already cooking on the burners on the table and servers soon brought out rice bowls and four side dishes. We had a vinegar cucumber/seaweed side dish, sliced radish, kimchi, and beansprouts. I get that a lot of older Korean people may not like to try new foods or just want to eat a nice Korean dinner after eating Western food all day, but I felt like this was a waste of a meal that could have been spent eating local Hawaiian fare. And if you are not Korean, there is definitely no reason to come here because the food isn 't even good. While I am biased against most Korean restaurants because my mum is such a good cook, Korean restaurants in LA are far better than this. (Granted, that shouldn 't count since LA also has the highest population of Koreans in a city after Seoul. I found the stew to be just mediocre and thought the same of the side dishes. Not much to say about the rice. I really just ate because (1 it 's free (included in our tour cost and (2 I was hungry and I had no other options. The service was just okay. Our servers were fast in the beginning to bring out everything, but then we never saw them again except for when someone at our table would yell for service (where are the table button thingies I 'm so used to seeing at Korean places?! . I can 't comment on the cost since our tour guide took care of it, but I don 't think whatever the price was would be worth it for such mediocre Korean food. This review isn 't completely fair since I didn 't even get to see a menu and they might have better food offerings, but I guess we 'll never know..."

I noticed anniversary as a special opportunity for my guests when I booked thru opentable, but the restaurant has not recognized that. that was disappointing! View menu

Made reservations for lunch. Got the LA galbi and my coworker got the bansang. The stone rice was super cool and delicious. So good. Will have to try the poke bowl next time.

We've done Korean BBQ before but brought some first timers with us. The staff was friendly and helpful and explained the menus to us. Food came tasting great everyone had a wonderful experience. Would definitely come back next time we're in Waikiki.

Did not even eat there as soon as we sat down the Hostess said we only have 30 minutes even though it was only 820 and it supposedly closes at 930pm. Said we couldn’t get the all you can eat because it would take to long. Kept rushing us to order but said we couldn’t stay long. So we got up and went down the street for tacos. much better option! Didn’t know what to expect as it was a hotel restaurant from a bygone era. The food was great for a family roaming from out of town. The service was fine as I think the lady who took our order didn’t understand English very well. She ran off before we could give her our drink order, which we waved down another person and got it sorted out. Would recommend for a casual dinner.

my first experience cooking at the table and we had so much fun! the food was so fresh and tasty. each side dish was prepared to perfection, the tofu and fish cake, kim chi, cabinets, boiled kartoffels for dying. we ordered a little of everything and to feed 4 people were amazed how cheap dinner was. I hope to go back some time, the staff was charming and attentive. they answered every one of my questions. five star experience:

"The service here, like a serene and gentle wave coming into Ko'Olina's Lagoons, is graceful and attentive. the Aloha atmosphere is calm and peaceful. I feel at home, free, and in love when I'm here. Yet, it is the food that calls to me with an irresistible allure. There is a truth that I must confront: I should frequent this place with my presence more regularly, for each visit finds me surrendering to the same indulgence: the Seafood Treasures. How does one capture in words the essence of such a dish? One needs a piano or canvas to portray what experience this dish is like. The flavors, each of the four distinct meats, are a symphony of taste, each note resonating with its own exquisite timbre. It is, without exaggeration, one of the most extraordinary culinary experiences of my life, so intricate in its depth that language falters in its description. Were I to choose a final meal, this would be my choice, a farewell to the world through a feast of unparalleled complexity. I can only imagine that everything at Roy's shares in this excellence. I implore you, if your travels ever bring you to Oahu, make your way to Ko'Olina. There, as the sun dips beneath the horizon, savor a frozen Mai Tai and let the moment envelop you. Then, venture to Roy's, where you will encounter a culinary experience so exquisite, it transcends mere dining. A consonancy of flavors that engages the senses in a dance of pure, unrestrained pleasure."
