"Food is definitely 5start. The whole experience is what made me put 3. My friends and I had fotor there this past Ramadan. The food was great, but one of the servers was extremely rude and condescending, we ask which dish is better and the answer was ifit wasn?t good it wouldn?t be on the menu. We asked for yogurt drink as it was Ramadan ?traditional drink for fotor in my county most of the Arabic world, Iran Turkey? and he was like we do not serve that in Morocco in Ramadan, no we do not have it,lastly, I was concerned that they forgot to charge us for a dish, the way he pointed me to other stapled small price of paper?which I didn?t notice? was extremely rude. We had to tip the guy who cleaned up ?in cash? avoiding to put a tip on the bill. It?s unfortunate! The food is good but eating in a restaurant is about the experience not just the food."

The rooms are cozy and intimate, making it a great spot for a date. Food = Amazing: - Merguez: My favorite! It's a homemade sausage packed with delicious spices.

The food was outstanding—authentic recipes straight from a Moroccan mom's kitchen. If you're in search of genuine Moroccan cuisine, this is the place to go, especially when you're hungry! View menu

My husband's top travel destination is Morocco, but since he's a bit of a picky eater, we thought it would be a good idea to sample some Moroccan cuisine before finalizing our plans. Everything we...

The owners are incredibly friendly and the service is excellent. The tagines are served individually, with one per person, but there are also options available for sharing. The atmosphere truly captures the essence of Morocco.

The food is fantastic, the service is outstanding, and the prices are very reasonable. It's a BYOB establishment, which is a nice bonus. If only they would consider opening another location in Edgewater! There are a couple of available spots on Bryn Mawr and more options along Broadway. The Broadway/Thorndale area is becoming a hub for great restaurants, and there's definitely space for more! Plus, with delivery options, it's easy to access from Andersonville, Edgewater, Rogers Park, and Uptown. I would definitely become a regular if they opened a new venue in this area. View menu

This restaurant is a lovely hidden gem. The food was absolutely delicious, and the pita was incredibly fresh and tasty. Although I would have preferred larger portions (since I tend to eat a lot), I still felt satisfied by the end of my meal. The service was good, and they were proactive in asking about any food allergies right from the start. While I'm not an expert on authentic Moroccan cuisine, I can confidently say that the flavors were delightful and beautifully combined. I would definitely love to return. I’d give it 5 stars if the portion sizes were a bit larger considering the prices.

What an incredible discovery! While visiting from Los Angeles, I joined my long-time Chicago friends at this restaurant. We opted for a family-style meal, starting with hummus, pita, and merguez. Since it’s BYOB, our Prosecco paired perfectly with the meal. Next, we enjoyed the mixed grill and shrimp appetizer along with a nice red wine. For dessert, instead of something sweet, we chose the chicken Bastilla, which was absolutely divine! The service was wonderfully attentive without feeling rushed at all. Just a heads-up—make sure to bring cash, as they don’t accept debit or credit cards. I can’t recommend this place highly enough!

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
