"I had a really disappointing experience with soul food today. I can understand why they only operate two days a week. For my takeout order, they handed me a red cup without a lid or straw, which was frustrating. The chicken was tough, the oxtail was bland, and the macaroni and cheese was even more disappointing. It's hard to believe I spent $48 on this meal. I truly hope they find a way to improve their food. Overall, I would rate it a 1 out of 5."

Your food is so amazing that it's almost hard to believe! I had the fried chicken, garlic potatoes with gravy, roasted okra, and cornbread. The Arnold Palmer was delightful. My husband enjoyed the greens and pintos with Kohl. Everything was perfectly seasoned, and the service was excellent—very friendly and prompt.

I visited this restaurant with a specific mood in mind. I tried a few dishes, but certainly not everything on the menu. The Mac n' Cheese was white and fluffy, which was a bit unusual, but still okay. I'm still on the hunt for some good ribs. It felt like I was at a family gathering, but I wasn't quite accustomed to Aunt VaLinda's cooking style. The staff was very friendly. I encourage you to eat local!
