"I have been to 5 different coffee shops since I arrived a few days ago for a conference... Just looking for something that would be impressive. Being from a small town in Tennessee, I figured that surely I would be able to find better craft coffee than we have at home, right? Well, I had not been successful yet. UNTIL TODAY!!! I ordered an iced quad dark chocolate latte at skybound and it was to die for. Oh, and it was actually reasonably priced- I spent under $10, including leaving a 20% tip. I'd give it 10 stars if I could! Looking forward to stopping in again tomorrow before my plane leaves!"

Great vibe, comfy seating. Both latte and tea are on point. Try Winter Tea.

I stopped by for some water and ended up getting a berry cheesecake to take with me. It was delicious! I definitely recommend this place for cheesecake!

By no means bad, just not not awesome when we were there. Took 25 minutes to be served toast when there were 4 customers not all of whom where there at the same time. Would probably go again though. View menu

The avocado toast was absolutely delicious! I saw it in the photos and just had to come and try it for myself. The horchata cold brew was also fantastic. The service was great, and the staff who attended to me were really friendly.

Absolutely delicious food. Their menu items are very creative, you can't go wrong with anything you order. I'll be coming here every time I visit San Diego(I'm here quite often) thanks. P.S. the Skybound Mocha is better than starbucks.

We wanted to go to the pancake place over the street, but they had a huge line, so we went here. And I was so glad we made the dessert, was delicious. And the guy who works there (or he could have been the owner) was so beautiful, was crisp jokes and preped our food beauty. The cold brew was also perfect. View menu

We originally intended to visit the pancake place across the street, but the line was enormous, so we chose this restaurant instead. I'm so glad we did because the dessert was absolutely delicious! The gentleman who worked there—he might have been the owner—was incredibly friendly, making jokes and beautifully preparing our food. The cold brew was also perfect.

Came early in the morning during the Comic-Con. Staff was friendly and they had a nice selection of drinks and treats. I wanted to try something else (except a muffin, etc.), so I ordered the Tokyo Toast and ice cream cafékaramel. Tokyo Toast had avocado, sesame oil, sesame seeds and crispy rice noodles above! It tastes great! The only drawback was waiting for my order to be ready. It might take 20 minutes to complete the full order. I wasn't in a hurry, I was surprised.

"I adore this restaurant. Golden Hill is filled with many many quality eateries, and Counterpoint anchors the neighborhood with it's fun atmosphere and dedication to quality. They recently renovated and the new space is open, airy and provides a variety of seating options: bar seating, restaurant seating, and upper balcony (I use this as a quiet place to WFH during the week), and an outdoor patio. I'm partial to the biscuit and gravy for breakfast, but the brined chicken and waffles or breakfast hash always makes me smile and sends me unto the world with a better outlook on life and a doggie bag. When it's hot, delicious crunchy salads are on the lunch menu and the craft beers and unique slushy flavors change. Counterpoint takes the quality of food and libations seriously. The craft cocktails rotate as the bartenders are encouraged to explore and grow. The owner and team are always warm, welcoming and make sure you have a good experience. Did I mention they are DOG friendly? Definitely worth the trip up the hill from downtown if you're looking to wind down after an event or precharge and eat before a baseball game. I love to bring my friends for a snack (try the olive selection) and chat on a twilight night. Space heaters outside if you get cold. Fans inside if you get warm. Honestly if you live in or are visiting the 92102 area code you should go to Counterpoint: good food, really good cocktails, and great company. It is clear that this establishment cares about quality, cares about your comfort and loves if you have a good time."
