"For breakfast, we enjoyed bacon, sausage, eggs, toast, and get this... grits! Plus, he even brought a thermos filled with coffee, which kept us fueled all day long. The coffee was hot and absolutely delicious—definitely the best we’ve had on the road!
Later in the day, he delivered our lunch/dinner, which was meatloaf, pork chops with gravy, white rice, mashed potatoes with gravy, boiled cabbage, okra with tomatoes, candied sweet potatoes, black-eyed peas, and two large pieces of cornbread! We felt like we had died and gone to heaven with such fantastic Southern cooking. He mentioned they were about to close for the day but told us to let him know if we needed anything else. I couldn't believe the level of service we received—it's rare to find that kind of attentiveness these days. My partner and I were absolutely amazed!
So, if you ever find yourself in Vivian, Louisiana, I highly recommend stopping by Burks Café at the corner of Pine Street and Airport Road. You won’t regret it!"
