"I’ve yet to spend the night at this Inn, but when I do I will add that review. As for the Inn and the restaurant; both are magnificent. This is a must stop in December to see how they decorate each and every room. We’ve had quite a few dinner here they never disappoint. This is most definitely a romantic place. It’s a historical building with lots to look at inside. The basement is equally as interesting. A beautiful, dark moody decor that adds to the experience. You’ll be glad you stopped by for dinner when you do. Food drinks: Definitely eat at the Tavern if you are staying at the Inn. You’ll be glad you did."

We did not stay at Spread Eagle. However, we did enjoy dinner. The meal was delicious.

The food was excellent, and the interior was attractive and clean. I also heard the haunting story, which was quite spooky.

This is, without a doubt, the coolest restaurant I've ever been to. The history, atmosphere, and food are all outstanding. I highly recommend it to everyone. My wife and I will certainly return.

Excellent food and service but we were very disappointed in the accommodations. We stayed in the Madison room and ended up leaving at midnight. Bed was extremely uncomfortable and was missing part of the footboard. The rooms are in dire need of an upgrade. View menu

My husband and I love dining here when we're in town. The service and food are always phenomenal. There are always so many things on the menu I want to try. Everything we've ever ordered has been immaculate. And service is top notch. Hats off to the whole crew!

Swiss Steak was way overcooked. Potatoes tasted like instant, no flavor. The pork tenderloin was not tender like it should have been. I was part of a group on a tour bus and they told our bus driver the kitchen was too busy to make him something to eat. Our seniors had to go to downstairs because they seated a group of politicians in a room leading to the main floor restroom. How rude. Definitely not well thought out planning. I will never return to Spread Eagle Tavern.

The Inn is filled with dining areas, and we thoroughly enjoyed exploring, including the intriguing brick tunnels in the basement that were once part of the Underground Railroad, the cozy courtyard, and even managed to peek into another room that was open. Dinner was delightful, and breakfast the next morning was complimentary and equally satisfying—don't miss out on the Candied Bacon! We had an amazing time, and the staff truly made our trip unforgettable. We will definitely return! View menu

Liz took great care of us tonight! I've been in here once before for Lunch, but this was my first night doing dinner. My buddy and I celebrated our birthdays here tonight. Liz brought us candles with our dessert which was a kind gesture. We got Brie Bites, Pasta Pinwheels for an app. The duck and Elk for dinner, and the Apple Crisp and cheesecake for dessert. This place is worth every penny. The history bleeds through these walls. I want to stay here sometime and also enjoy dinner in the basement, because it's easily my favorite room.
