"Just three houses off the intersection of New Hyde Park Road and Tulip Avenue is the Starving Artists Cafe. Spring abounds in every cozy corner, and no matter where you gaze there are bunnies, eggs, flowers, and pastel colors. This is such a festive space I felt a little like this must be a set for Alice in Wonderland. Artisan featured works surround you. They have a great menu that includes daily specials, paninis, wraps, flatbreads, burgers, salads, sides, appetizers, soup, and desserts. Today we ordered the Turkey Panini and Cobb Salad. The panini was a good size with turkey, melted Swiss cheese, bacon and ranch dressing. The Cobb salad was large and visually appealing. Sliced avocado, eggs, mixed greens, chopped tomato, red onion and crumbled bacon made this a tasty and filling dish. They also have quite the dessert case, but we had no room to partake this time. They have a monthly Psychic Night that is popular. Next time we are starting with dessert!"

This small breakfast place is charming and has a cafe with art. The staff was very attentive and accommodating. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The brown sugar bacon was amazing.

Pretty and homely Christmas decor with good and simple food. We had the burger and a buffalo wrap. For dessert it was the brownie sundae The food was decent but nothing to rave about. It's definitely a nice place to hangout with friends though.

I loved this Cafe from the way it looks, to the food. I had a chicken pesto panini (which highly recommend). My partner had a salad. The food was delicious, the service was great. The atmosphere was lovely. I would definitely good back over and over again.

Such a cute place! Really great for a cute date with your friends or significant other. Our waiter was so capable friendly. There’s a few vegan options: they have almond milk, a good amount of dinner options, all the coffee flavors are vegan! I will definitley be going back there w my boo View menu

Mouthwatering food, cozy environment, and very festive! We went a week before halloween, you can see how cool the decorations were!! Only downside was how slow our waitress was. Older lady, spanish decent. Waited 20 minutes after finishing our meal to get the check. But the other servers were timely Would definitely return!

Have been here countless times and have decided it's time to share how great this place is. Service is always exceptional and staff is very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere here is inviting and cozy. They have a nice selection of teas and coffees to choose from and offer dairy free milk options. Try their crispy fries and veggie wraps! Perfect spot for a casual date or night out.

This charming brunch and lunch spot is a must-visit! I highly recommend stopping by with friends or family. The atmosphere is cozy, with vegan options available. The cafe is adorned with plenty of artwork and photographs, creating a visually appealing space. The food and wine selection are excellent, and I imagine their desserts are just as delicious. Live music adds to the overall ambiance. View menu

I have had two very enjoyable experiences at this restaurant. The service is helpful, friendly, and welcoming from the moment you arrive. The cafe has an artist theme and is decorated with quirky and interesting items. There is even a small gallery inside. You can choose to sit at a dining table or on a comfortable couch. The menu has a great variety of options, and everything I have tried so far has been delicious. An added bonus is that they offer wine, beer, and brunch drink options. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning again soon!

"'FRESHER IS ALWAYS BETTER! Prince Umberto Pizzeria Restaurant 721 Franklin Ave, Franklin Square, NY 11010 Today 10/26/2023, I took my Honey for lunch for the first time to Prince Umberto 's in Franklin Square, NY. We both love good home made Italian food. I read some nice reviews, checked out their menu online and saw items we both like to eat, so to not far away Franklin Square we went! It was about 2;30 pm when we got there, the pizzeria side was busy but the dinning area side was wasn 't busy at all, and that 's exactly where we wanted to go. Our waiter and server Johnathan greeted us and sat us at a nice comfortable table. I ordered something for my Honey and I to drink, nothing with alcohol, while we looked over the menu. I told Johnathan we were going to first try a few appetizers, and after that, if we were still hungry we would order something else. I asked Johnathan, please, DO NOT bring us all the food at once, as so many other restaurants seem to want to do! All that food at once just overwhelms you, plus sitting there, the food just gets cold before you get to eat it. Johnathan said, not a problem, tell me what to bring you, and I will bring it when you tell me, YES! We started off first with Littleneck Clams on the half shell, then we had whole backed clams that were just made, nice and piping hot, and so, so, delicious. Next we enjoyed a nice size pot of mussels cooked with white wine and garlic, Johnathan brought us their just baked HOT pizza dough bread with butter on the side, it was excellent especially when we were dunking the bread into the mussel juice! After that my Honey and I had to try their Trippa Napoletana, we both love tripe! This tripe with the sauce made at Prince Umbertos was so good, my Honey had to take some home! It had no potatoes, no peas, just tender cooked tripe in a delicious mild sauce, which I was also enjoying on the hot pizza dough bread too. Just delicious. Wow! While were eating, the owner, and the chef came over to us a couple of times to ask if everything was okay and to our liking, and if we needed anything else, which was very nice of them to do. We now were both pretty full, but I had to check out their dessert menu first, before we left. I spotted their Italian ice cream Tartufo, and my Honey spotted the Tiramisu. We suddenly found a little space to tackle dessert, OMG! They both were so yummy! Now as far as prices go in this day and age of high prices, this restaurant has very, very, fair prices for quality fresh food! And I might add, this is one of the very few restaurants that is not charging any extra fee for using your credit card, I hope they can continue doing that, we shall see? We shall return for sure. Their food was so good, and freshly cooked to order, just as if we were home, it was a delight to go to Prince Umberto 's in Franklin Square today! Johnathan did an excellent job taking good care of us. And if I am going write an honest review, which I am, I have one wish, we both love clams on the half shell, ice cold. The clams on the half shell we had today were really fresh, but they were room temperature and not cold at all? I wish they can serve them ice cold, the next time we come. All in all, Prince Umberto 's still gets 5 stars! One tip for all, go for lunch or early dinner, You will have plenty of space in their dining room!"
