"I absolutely adore this restaurant! It’s my favorite spot for breakfast! I always order their breakfast sandwiches, specifically the Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Croissant and the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Croissant, both of which are incredibly delicious. We also enjoy their Dozen Donut Holes and other donut varieties. The staff is consistently friendly and accommodating, ensuring that they serve their customers the most appealing items. I've had wonderful experiences here, and my kids love it just as much as I do! Thank you, Johnny's Donuts, for the fantastic work you do!"

"We 've eaten here for many years. Usually the fried chicken, but everything always great. What happened? Chef/Cook leave? My sautéed shrimp came smelling fishy.....that 's a sign of decay, they are spoiled, old, tasted old. Mama got the special salmon could not finish it, yucky tomato sauce all over it. Next issue; they seated four people, (Orinda regulars? , right across from us with a small dog.....BARKING, A LOT! WHAT? Used to be NICE restaurant, gone to the dogs, literally. Won 't go back."

"My experience at the SAFFRON Indian Restaurant Bar was nothing short of extraordinary.Right from the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed by the friendly staff who were eager to ensure we had a memorable dining experience. The rich and elegant decor, with its warm hues and tasteful Indian artefacts, sets an authentic ambience, perfect for an intimate dinner or a celebration with friends.The menu was extensive, offering a range of dishes from various regions of India, each described in a way that made selection an exciting exploration of its own. We were pleased to find both vegetarian and non vegetarian options, along with a variety of vegan and gluten free dishes.We started our meal with samosas and paneer tikka both dishes were superb, filled with flavor, and beautifully presented. For the main course, we had the butter chicken and lamb biryani. The butter chicken was creamy and rich, with the right balance of sweetness and spice. The lamb in the biryani was tender and the rice fragrant, both expertly spiced.But it was the dessert that stole the show the gulab jamun was soft, sweet, and served warm, making for a perfect end to our meal.The bar also deserves special mention. The cocktail menu is creative, with drinks inspired by Indian flavors. We tried the Mango Lassi Martini and it was a delightful fusion of traditional taste with a modern twist.Overall, the SAFFRON Indian Restaurant Bar provides an excellent combination of rich, authentic Indian cuisine with a modern, stylish setting. It is not just a meal, but a complete sensory journey that I highly recommend to any food lover looking for a unique and satisfying dining experience. "Beware: The menu prices do NOT reflect what you’re actually charged. Every item costs more. In addition, with the kid’s meal, you’re supposed to get your choice of main dish and side, so I ordered my child a kid’s burrito and fries. Well, I got charged separately for a side of fries—which was $5.45, nearly as much as the kid’s meal alone—and the woman who took my order automatically gave me beans and rice as the side…which makes no sense since the kid’s burrito already has those ingredients in it. When I looked over my receipt, I inquired about the overcharges, and she said that the prices have changed in the computer but that the menu hasn’t been updated yet. I wouldn’t have a problem with the prices if they were the ones listed, but charging more than your customer expects is just bad business. Such a disappointing experience. The food is okay but not worth going back for."

"Food and service were spectacularly awful. I had a small request to remove the slaw for a few more fries and the waitress refused, which was ok because the fries were disgusting as well. At least I think they were fries, it could?ve been dog droppings, with the amount of salt it was hard to tell. I wanted to let them know but the waitress didn?t come by at all after ordering except to bring us our check later, I?ve never seen that before. I ordered the ribs which were 4 small pieces for $20, and nothing to wipe my hands with because there were no napkins for reasons unknown. Was able to dig one out of a drawer as I figured I was on my own for anything. Somehow she managed to bring us the check, never going here again."
