"They have completely eliminated their entire menu and now only offer three BBQ options, which I've heard may not always be available. Unfortunately, that wasn't an option during my last visit. The happy hour deal is still good, and I genuinely hope they address these issues soon. Until then, I will regrettably be looking for other bars. Original review: The place is very clean with some fantastic drink deals. I suggest ordering a pitcher to share for better value. The tacos are delicious, and the atmosphere is pleasant, including a covered and heated outdoor area. The bartenders are among the nicest people I've ever met. Just a heads up: sometimes, families bring a lot of kids for the food, which feels a bit odd since this is a bar. I wouldn’t recommend bringing children here."

The bartender was a sweetheart. Love that they have a backyard and water pitcher available, right there.

Four stars for fun divey decor and yard space. Drinks were fine. Inside in small-ish, but having board games available was a nice touch. View menu

It is a swell dive. I didn’t have any food and they were out of a few things but as far as a bar I was passing by goes, a good and worthwhile stop

What a discovery! The food is delicious, and the tiki bar atmosphere is fantastic. It's a laid-back spot in the neighborhood. I highly recommend it!

Tasty but could have more proteins. Nachos taste great but had barely any sauce or beef. The tacos had a great flavor I had the adsilog and and one other but I liked them. Worth checking out View menu

Hard to give 1 star, you really need to be trying to earn that it. Ownership changed, food changed, service changed. I understand growing pains for a new establishment but empanadas were overcooked and boringly mediocre. Nachos felt microwaved. Not saying they were, this was just the experience I felt.

Very chill atmosphere where you can play games card, board, dominoes etc. We had their Tocino bowl (pork) and Chicken Inihaw bowl and weren't pleased with them. The chicken and pork were too charred and really not much flavor. Their lumpia was disappointing and this was my first time trying it (if I hadn't heard that lumpia was great I wouldn't be thinking to try it again from somewhere else). However, their Hurricane Fries were tasty. Our cocktails were decent. I would go back for the vibes, games and cocktails but not the food. Btw, from the outside, it looks like seating capacity is limited, but there's an outside covered area. So, overall, I'll give Swell Dive another try.

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
