"Upon entering the restaurant, we noticed signs indicating that prices had changed since April, and our menus reflected these updates with items crossed out and new prices handwritten. While this was clear, we were surprised to find that the children's meals on our bill were $1.50 to $2.00 more than the prices listed on the kids' menu. When we raised this issue with our waitress, she presented a different menu from the one we had at our table. Additionally, we paid with a credit card, but when we received the receipt, we noticed a surcharge that the waitress didn't mention, and there were no signs indicating that the establishment was cash-only. On a positive note, the food was tasty and the service was relatively quick. However, the restaurant is quite small and not particularly clean. It's also worth noting that kids' meals do not include a drink, which is an extra $2.50, and chips and salsa are complimentary only for the first basket, regardless of the size of your group. "Such an amazing place to eat and have cocktails, staff is attentive, the best they can being so busy. The food is always phenomenal. The crafted cocktails are unique and flavorful, a requirement if you stop here. The baked cheese and the bread dish are always just spot on, this is a must try for the Manistee area. Nestled in the basement of the ramsdell inn, the location is dim lit and romantic while still providing a great atmosphere, unfortunately with that came a slight mildew or damp smell, however it does not take away from the almost flawless dining experience! Good job TJ's. Keep it up."

"The only good thing about this place was the kind and helpful server. Food was unfortunately meh, at best. I asked to sub sweet potato fries for the house chips with my burger and was told it would be an $8 upcharge the same cost of ordering them separately as an appetizer. Obviously, never mind... that's ridiculous. No hot beverages. No cards, only cash. We were the only ones in there... guess now I know why. Let's see... ambiance... cold sports bar with a pool table. Thanks to the nice server, but we definitely won't be back."

"The restaurant is really disappointing. I had been there when the previous owners ran it, and they executed everything perfectly. Now, the young servers and bartenders seem inexperienced and are very rude. The main manager at the bar lacks any competence. The quality of the food has also declined. I wish it could return to the way it was under the previous ownership, as they were friendly and attentive. I wouldn't recommend spending any money here."
