"Tried a croissant, slice of cake and a slice of the orange almond bundt cake. The croissant was one of the best I’ve ever had! The other two options not so much. You could tell the ingredients were higher quality and the cake was very moist, however the flavor just was not there. Kind of tasted like nothing. I didn’t expect super sweet, I just expected some sort of flavor which there wasn’t any of. It was very odd. Ended up throwing away most of the icing. The buttercream I think it was tasted just like whipped butter. No other flavor. Not very appetizing. Boyfriend didn’t like either. But the croissant was to die for! The orange almond slice was less offensive being at $8 and had more flavor than the cake but still wasn’t anything worth going back for. If I was staying at the boardwalk I could see it being a nice treat with a cup of coffee but I wouldn’t go out of my way. The cake was extremely disappointing being that is what they are known for. At the prices the bags should really come with purchase. Threw me off that they would charge and send us walking out the door without any bag option. Just all very odd. Also, will have to tip for counter service again. Sigh. 25% tip encouraged on iPad to hand over a slice of cake seems outrageous. Will at least never suggest the bakery. Very pretty, the food looks good, but I won’t be rushing back for it. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4"

Our reservation was at 1130 and I got the text when we checked in. 30 minutes went by and no table, so I checked at the host stand and was told we were next. Another 25 minutes went by and no seats we were sent inside to wait. The kids were getting restless so we asked again and they tried to tell me they didn’t have my number to text even though we talked to host multiple times and got the checked in text. They sat us and even after that no server came to our table after 20 minutes so we ended up having to leave. Very disappointed and my kids were so hangry went to Epcot to get food. Wow! From the moment you step inside The Cake Bake Shop By Gwendolyn Rogers, it feels like entering a magical world. The staff were incredibly kind, accommodating us by changing our reservation twice due to traffic despite us running late. The food was fantastic—while a bit pricey, the atmosphere, service, and quality more than justify it. Our server Samantha was wonderful, making my birthday celebration even more special and unforgettable. I hope we get the chance to visit again soon! I was pleasantly surprised during my visit to The Cake Bake Shop By Gwendolyn Rogers! I'm from Ohio and visiting my best friend who lives here. We like to do something special when I’m in town, so we chose The Cake Bake Shop from their menu. A friend had come two days earlier and mentioned her food was ice cold, so I was a bit hesitant. However, our croque monsieur arrived hot and full of flavor! Next time, I will skip the mustard. The side greens were not really my favorite; they tasted mostly like lemon juice dressing. We also ordered a side of potatoes, which were quite good. My friend had the chocolate cake, but it was a bit too rich for me. We also tried the key lime pie—it was good, th...

This place should not exist at Disney. While the ambiance is beautiful, the service is lacking and the food compared to the prices listed is not good at all. The cakes are decent, but without the frosting the cake itself is very dry laced with freezer burn. The employees don’t have the appropriate knowledge as ownership seems to be too stingy to give them product knowledge and let them try the food. But they’re not missing out. Instead of having a server we were sat at a table next to a bar and the bartender was also trying to run the tables and what should’ve been an hour experience turned to a 2 hour experience. All the employees were too focused on taking care of Gwendolyn’s table as she... View menu

The Cake Bake Shop By Gwendolyn Rogers has a lovely atmosphere that immediately caught my eye—the decor truly gave me Paris vibes, especially after visiting the city of lights just last month. I ordered the crab cake with remoulade dressing, and my husband had the French ham and Brie paired with French onion soup. The food itself was excellent, though my husband’s first drink was disappointing. He ordered a second one, which was better. On the downside, the service left much to be desired. Our server never introduced himself or made us feel welcome, and it took a long time for him to check back on us while we were waiting for our drinks. After we asked for his name, he said it was Leo but...

"I enjoy The Boathouse, the food here is usually pretty good, but today the service was just abysmal. First off, usually on a quiet day, you can just walk up and usually be seated relatively quickly. But not today, the line just to talk to someone, RESERVATION OR NOT was about 15-20 minutes, with a line out of the door. This line alone should have been a sign to cut my losses and just leave, but instead I persisted giving The Boathouse the benefit of the doubt. I waited and waited some more, just to be told at the front desk that my 1 PM reservation was not ready yet and that they were still trying to seat people with 12:15/12:30 reservations. NOTE: I didn 't get to the desk until around 1:20/1:30 PM, so already about an hour behind. I was told that I will get a text when my table would be ready, I was fed up with waiting so I left. What 's the point in having a reservation if one, I have to wait in a line with people who don 't have a reservation and two have to wait even longer for my table to be ready well after my reservation time? It very much defeats the purpose of having a reservation, especially with the Disney app that can let you at some restaurants check in without having to talk to someone? On top of this, why was there no communication from the restaurant beforehand or while I was waiting in a long line to let me know hey we 're not going to be able to seat you at the time that we promised . All of this to say, Disney gets very busy, there are some issues from both a communication and operations standpoint that should definitely be looked at. All that had to be done to make today a little bit better was literally someone from the restaurant coming out and saying something along the lines If you don 't have a reservation, your estimated wait time will probably be around x hours AND OR If you have a reservation, we might not get to you at your reservation time just simple things to show that you care about your guest 's time. Maybe consider relying more on the app or having a separate area for those with reservations or without? Either way, super disappointed and it 's not fair to the frontline staff that were not being treated nicely by those who were understandably upset, that should be dealt with by management."
