"Tried to go another day but was closing. We sat outside and the waitress was reluctant so we sat close to the door so she wouldn't have to walk a lot. We ordered bacon wrapped shrimp. It was so hot it did not taste good. Yes there were jalapenos but there were also seeds and we couldn't eat it and we sent it back. The waitress looked very suspicious. We also got gumbo and it was fine . They credited the bill and in the end the waitress was happy. I think she was worried about it affecting her tip."

I love this place. Your food is amazing, service is great all the time. Some days service can be somewhat slow, but it is because they are super packed, so no big thing. Your seafood gumbo is absolutely the best!

I've been visiting Benny's for years, and it’s always a great choice. I love sitting at the oyster bar and enjoying a dozen oysters with their michelada. I highly recommend the crawfish pirogue and their jalapeño smoked boudin.

I'm not sure how this place stays open. There is so much wood rot outside. You know bugs and rodents are getting in. The cleaning of the inside is long neglected.The fish is probably safe, though, since it's all in the freezer where frozen fish comes from.
