"I didn't receive my second item, which cost 29 cents, when I used the scanner. When I informed the staff member who was assisting me, she seemed displeased. She was quite busy and was somewhat impolite when she handed me the Oreo Mint shake I had ordered and claimed it cost more than 29 cents. She was unaware that she actually owed me $4.00 because one of the items I had ordered was priced at 29 cents, not $4.59. The food was good, but the server was too preoccupied to give proper attention to the customers. Unfortunately, it seemed like they were understaffed, but that's no excuse for poor customer service."

"Easily the best restaurant experience I've had in a long time. It was late. I was tired and hungry. Ordered a ham and pineapple pizza and the guy on the phone looked to see if there was a cheaper way to ring it up as a specialty pizza. I got there early and the restaurant owner was so friendly and outgoing. I saw they have the *good* fries so I also ordered a side of fries and they were divine. Walked out of there with some cannolis too and those were also top notch. And the pizza. Not only was it picture perfect, it had just the perfect amount of everything. Loved every aspect of this experience. The friendly staff. The awesome owner. The pizza. The fries. The cannoli. Looking for ward to my next visit."

"I'll be honest—I had low expectations when we first walked in. The interior could definitely use a little update. But wow, the food was incredible and the service was outstanding. We drove just over an hour to come here for a meal, and I would gladly make that trip again. The prices are very reasonable, the drinks are strong, and the burgers are absolutely fantastic—truly the epitome of a Wisconsin pub. Meal type: Dinner."

"I was not particularly impressed with the food at The Islands. While some dishes were acceptable, others fell short. The salad bar was fresh and pleasant, but the soups, particularly the French onion and chicken dumpling, were underwhelming. I sampled the French onion soup, and it congealed immediately in my bowl—one spoonful was enough for me to determine it wasn’t worth finishing. The desserts looked tempting but were extremely firm and hard to cut; my fork actually bounced off the cake when I tried to slice into it. Additionally, be aware that groups of 10 or more will incur an automatic gratuity on the bill, despite it being a buffet with limited server interaction. Our group had 15 people, which exacerbated the situation. I cannot recommend this buffet to my friends, and I personally will not be returning."
