"Okay, so I'm biased. My wife and I have been coming here since our first date, and she's been a regular since the day they opened. But here's the thing about a good neighborhood place: You don't get tired of going. Ever. They take care of you and establish relationships that are deeper than digging for tips. If you're really lucky, you'll see that they are both people who care about your experience, and if you're lucky, people who can be great friends. The food: These are, in my opinion, the best wings in Brooklyn. Better than Superwings, better than Bonnie's, better than anywhere you can mention. And they are tied for best wings in all of NYC with Wogie's (who are the best in Manhattan IMHO). They key is the butter to vinegar ration in their sauce, so that it sticks to the wings, and puckers your mouth. The Cobb Salad is my other old fallback, and the homemade ranch dressing makes it the absolute jam. The whole place is very comfy. It gets packed sometimes, but you just have to pick your timing. I don't try to go there on wing night anymore, or at certain dinner rushes. I'll gladly take a walk for an hour and then sit up at the bar and ask one of the John's (there are two primary bartenders named John) to pick a beer out for me."

Wings are the best in the neighborhood, and the rest of the food is pretty good too. They play movies with the sound off on three screens that follow a theme. Staff is friendly. Busy at night but also has a regular lunch crowd from the film shops in the area.

This is a fantastic local restaurant featuring an impressive selection of rotating beers and a seasonal menu filled with salads, appetizers, and sandwiches. The menu consistently includes empanadas, burgers, and a $5 mac and cheese special on Mondays. The staff is friendly, and you can enjoy local artwork adorning the walls, with movies or sports playing above the bar.

The service here is extremely welcoming, and they have an excellent selection of beers. There’s plenty of seating available, and the happy hour deal for mac and cheese along with a draft beer for just $9 is fantastic! I suggest ordering the mac with lighter toppings. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual. If you’re in the area, be sure to stop by for a beer and check it out!

I absolutely adore this place; it's almost absurd how much I love it. For my daughter, her husband, and all their friends, it's practically a second home. The owners are the kindest people you could meet, and whenever I'm in Greenpoint, it feels like my home too. The food is outstanding, the specials are amazing, and they offer a fantastic selection of beers that are always changing. The atmosphere is delightful, and during the warmer months, the front opens up to the street, creating a wonderfully European vibe. In a town full of excellent bars, Habitat is definitely my favorite. View menu

Check it out, it is everything you can ask of if and more. Perfect combination of a bar and a restaurant. I've been going there for more than a year. It is the best in North Greenpoint. Large choice of beers and liquor, the food menu changes regularly and I'm never tired of it. The make great food and they have a very convenient late night menu based off empanadas and French fries. I'm a weirdo and I've never felt out of place or unwelcolmed there. Staff is experienced, restaurant is clean and has an interesting emphasis of arts. Thank you Habitat, you are my go to place, I hope you never disappear. Heart heart rainbow.

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
