"Trying to find some Chicago flavors in KC. Stop #1 The Pizza Man Being from Chicago, I love deep dish pizza, but no it can’t be eaten all the time. The Pizza Man does a good version of thin crust and you can get it with Italian beef and giardiniera. They have leaned into the idea of an Italian beef, even with serving the pizza with a side of aus jus. There hours are limited on weekends. They close at 6 on Friday and Saturday. The beef is really good. I will go back to try the sandwich."

I’ve been visiting this place since I owned a local pizza restaurant in town a decade ago. Everything on the menu is excellent, but the Italian beef sandwich is one of the must-try items in Kansas that you won’t want to miss!

I'm a Chicago native, lived there 30 years. This place is better than Portillos, Jimmy's, Moondoggies, Rosatis, and Demon Dogs, hands down. Great family business, very cool Chicago art, friendly people.....the food is AMAZING.

As a Chicagoan, I love visiting this spot for their pizza, Vienna beef hot dogs, and beef sandwiches. We typically order a variety of dishes to share among ourselves. You should definitely give this small business a chance; I think you'll be pleased with the experience! View menu

I used to live in the area not far from here an I took my mom and kids for pizza and have to say it was delicious but I think they changed the name because it was Chicago Pizza or something like that…maybe they switched owners, if so then I gotta try this pizza shop now!

Pizza man? Naw, Italian Beef Sandwich Man is more like it! They’re a Chicago pizza place, but serve thin crust pizza (I don’t understand that). I’ve been here twice and had the sandwich both times based on recommendations from multiple friends. This sandwich is incredibly good and less than $10. I don’t like hot peppers, but I do drizzle their juices on the sandwich to make it a little spicy. The au jus dip, ample cheese, tasty bread, and a ton of meat lead to tasty time!
